Best family adventure ever! Erik was our guide and led us on a great trip with beautiful views and fun terrain. He looked out for all of us with care and took great photos and video that will last a lifetime. This was by far our favorite tour while in Costa Rica.

What a wonderful trip. Thank you Carlos! We took our 9 year old son on the ATV and snorkeling tour. Our son can be skittish about going fast and Carlos made him very comfortable. The secluded beach for snorkeling was amazing. My husband and I agreed that we couldn’t find it on our own in a million years!

Carlos our tour guide was so friendly and helped us have a great experience! The ATV tour was so much fun, my kids rode with us and had a blast! We went through river crossings and saw beautiful beaches!
The snorkeling was a bit rough that day due to red tide, but we had fun anyway!
Carlos also was so helpful to connect us with another tour that we wanted to do in Bijagua! I would totally recommend this company for your tour! Thank you Carlos for a great experience.

If you are lookiing for a great ATV tour and snorkel go with Pininos! He picked us up at our AirBnB at no extra charge and drove us to the home base where all the ATV's are stored. The machines were clean and well maintained. He took the time to thoroughly explain the brakes and how to shift using an automatic clutch. The tour was great but dusty, so bring a bandanna to cover your face. We saw monkeys and other wildlife while on the tour. The beaches on the ride were beautiful and well worth the ride. Being an experienced rider, I only wish we could have gone faster. But definitely recommend Pininos Adventures.

We had a great day with our guide Rigo. After fitting us with helmets and supplies, we ATVed on back roads and through the forest to two secluded beaches, seeing wildlife and tide pool animals along the way. Although hot and dusty, we enjoyed breaks for snorkeling and delicious Pina Coladas at a quiet beachfront cabana. Was a different experience than anything else we have done in Costa Rica and we would highly recommend it. A great adventure with a friendly, attentive guide. Thanks Rigo!

My family and I are from the Midwest (USA) so when we were looking for things to do during our Costa Rica trip, we knew we wanted to do something active that we couldn't do at home in Chicago. My dad spent a lot of time researching ATV/snorkling tours online and after finding Carlos he reached out via email. Carlos was extremely responsive and answered all of our questions.
The ATVs themselves are very easy to operate and Carlos does such a great job at making sure everyone's driving safely and constantly monitors the speeds depending on the terrain (rivers, hills, small paths, etc). When we got to the beach to start snorkeling he gave us water and our snorkeling gear. I highly recommend this tour it was a highlight of our trip!
Some tips:
It can get dusty, while there's a visor on the helmet I wore sunglasses on mine. Wear clothes that are easy to move around in and can get dirty. Same goes for shoe, my sister and I wore flip flops/slides. Make sure to hydrate before your trip it's a bit of a trip and it can be hot. If you have a go pro--bring it along Carlos has helmets specifically for them!

This was the perfect adventure for me and my daughters. They are both in their 20s and I’m in my early 60s. I was looking for a tour adventure that we could share together.... One that would provide a little excitement as well as wildlife along the way.
Prior to booking I sent a couple emails in to ask some questions that I had. Carlos returned the emails right away and answered all my questions. I booked and was so grateful that I did.
The tour starts with Carlos explaining how to operate the ATV vehicles which we had never done before. They are very easy to operate and such a joy to ride. Carlos was very careful to make this a safe trip and he made sure that we not only knew how to operate the ATVs but along the way he guided us in the intricacies of navigating the back roads and small trails that take your pills and through some small streams.
We got to see three or four beaches total and we snorkeled at Playa Minyas. Carlos grew up in the area, so he knew everything about each stop we made. He showed us where turtle nests used to be, stopped to show us howler monkeys, and told us local history.
If you’re interested in seeing some very beautiful beaches and having some fun on an ATV while you’re doing that this is a great group tour to go on. And Carlos is a fantastic tour operator. I highly recommend this tour.

We had a great ATV/snorkel excursion with Pininos Adventures. Carlos picked us up at our resort, fitted us with helmets and ATVs, where we went on a journey through neighborhoods and jungles and ended up at a secluded beach. We went snorkeling for about 45 minutes and finished the journey back through the jungle. Carlos was awesome and happy to accommodate your needs. We were able to take in the local scenery and learn a bit more about the culture of the area. It was just a buddy and me, so I like to think we took the more adventurous path (which it was!), but Carlos mentioned they have different trails for different comfort levels. We saw Howler Monkeys and swam with a few colorful fish. The tides can be a bit rough so there is no guarantee to the clarity of the water, but the beach were beautiful in and of itself.

My friend and I stayed at the JW Marriott and were looking for an excursion around the area with a mix of rain forest and beach. Our time with Pininos Adventures was exactly what we were looking for. Carlos picked us up from our hotel and was an awesome guide. By the end of our time, Carlos was more of a friend than a tour guide. The ATV part of the excursion was so much fun and we were able to see some beautiful parts of Costa Rica (rivers/streams, hillsides, forests) and even stumbled across two families of monkeys. Carlos then took us to a private and beautiful beach to snorkel. Our excursion was our favorite part of the trip! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an action packed day during their stay in or around Tamarindo.

If I could give this excursions 50 stars I would. My wife and I decided to do the ATV and snorkel tour. The atvs were very easy to ride and learn how to handle. The dirt roads also aren’t too bad and Carlos is amazing at keeping you posted on what gear to be in. Once you get to the first beach you take a great swim out by a beautiful rock face and look at tons of fish and more. Then he took us to another beach that he monkeys on the ride over! He let us stop, take photos, and educated us on the wildlife of Costa Rica.
If you are debating on doing an atv tour this is it!! Carlos, thank you again. When we come back I’m doing a longer tour!
Also we went during the rainy season. If you book the trip in the morning you will miss many of the storms that pass by. We had perfect weather. There was mud puddles on the dirt roads but they weren’t bad. If anything they made the ride more fun!
Oh and he brings bottles of water. You can pack snacks and we wore backpacks the whole ride which was convenient to keep our belongings in. Carlos even watched the bags as we swam.

Hi, so I will be traveling to Costa Rica end of June thru first week of July. This offer caught my eye. I want to make sure you do pickups from the W Conchal Restort. Does the $65 fee include the five hours, snorkeling gear etc?

Hi, yes we offer you complimentary pick up from w conchal and we include the snorkeling set. Atv snorkeling 3 hr tour rate are around $85-$100 per person and the Atv Mountain and beach tour cost $65 per person.
