Went on a two tank dive and had a blast. Francesco is an amazing instructor, and everyone at the shop goes out of their way to make sure you’re enjoying your time. Safety is top priority and they had extensive knowledge of the dive sites and the area. We saw a ton of marine life on both dives. I highly recommend Tamarindo Divers.

We experienced UK PADI rescue divers, so we booked a 5 day package with Tamarindo Diving.
The Catalina Islands as a dive location are fabulous. The viz wasn't great on a couple of occasions, BUT we still saw whitetip reef sharks young and older, sting rays, electric rays and devil rays, loads of shoaling fish which were stunning to see and lots of different puffer fish. We saw different types of moray eels, lobster and to absolutely make our holiday we saw a humpback whale so, yes we very much recommend this dive company. The staff were incredibly friendly, and they worked very hard each day to make our time great. We had a good laugh, saw loads, had 5 fantastic boat trips, met lots of new people, and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Pura Vida

Just finished 5 days of diving with Tamarindo Diving - in February
As relatively experienced Divers, having dived all over the world as PADI Rescue (going through trainee dive masters with 450 dives) I feel I am fairly well versed with the good and bad dive centres globally.
I looked at the reviews of surrounding dive centres before travelling from the UK and made enquiries with them all.
Tamarindo Diving were quick to reply to queries (always a good sign) they were honest with their replies and responses and they managed my expectations in terms of wildlife (some dive centres will sell dives on seeing a particular pelagic species only to find when you arrive it’s not even the season for that species).
We always travel with our own equipment as we have seen some shockers over the years, however through their good communication we felt confident to reduce our travel luggage and use TD’s kit, which did not disappoint.
The Guides and Instructor’s were superb, very safety conscious, excellent detailed briefings, they monitored very closely new or inexperienced divers enabling them to see sights that they may otherwise have missed - sharks, giant rays………
As UK divers we are used to being solely responsible for our own gear assembly, ‘kitting up’, safety, ingress/egress, air consumption, navigation…… Tamarindo Diving remove all of those stresses and they facilitate relaxed guided dives - especially for those that have not dived for a while or who are inexperienced.
The Catamaran style boat that they use is ideally suited for diving (no backward rolls for those that don’t like to do that) and the skipper is a great boat handler that maximises the conditions to suit the divers - we have over the years been on boats that are not suited to diving from where getting on and off is horrendous!!
In summary - I highly recommend Tamarindo Diving for your next diving excursion

We went on a two tank dive with Tamarindo diving in mid February. All of the dive shop crew were very professional and helpful. However, the diving conditions were rather poor. Visibility was OK to poor for both dives. Probably 10 to 20 feet. We did see some interesting fish. I was also very cold. The water temps were about 68° and I wish I would’ve had a five mm suit or a shorty to wear over the 3 mm suit. The highlights of the day were seeing devil rays flying over the surface and a humpback whale breached near us when we returned to the boat.

Fantastic experience!
Everything about our dives with Tamarindo Diving, from initial reservation to final waves goodbye, was wonderful. Every person we encountered was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We saw many varieties of fish, rays, and sharks. The boat was clean, the gear fit well and was well-maintained, and the dives were highly enjoyable. We loved our day spent with Tamarindo Diving!

Well run operation. Kind and knowledgeable staff. Very responsive communication. They accommodated us when we requested a private guide, Heard whales underwater and saw humpbacks and spotted dolphins from the boat. Saw lots of fish and sea creatures. Great dives!

Incredible experience diving with Tamarindo Dive Center! Carmen was a great dive master, very knowledgeable about the area and knows where to go to see white tip sharks, rays and even baby sharks in small stone caves! We also saw:
- a huge school of rays
- morenas
- angel fishes
- lobsters
- several different types of star fishes
- so many puffer, butterfly and trumpet fishes
- heard intense whale sounds during a whole dive which was totally mind-boggling!
The scuba equipment was new and in great condition. I went diving with them twice and would do it again! Thank you folks!

Best dive shop in Tamarindo! My wife and I did the two tank dive on two different days and both were amazing!! On the first day our dive masters were Issa and Kiké (sorry if I misspelled) They were so fun and great! We saw sharks and eels and heard whales. On our second day Kikè was our dive master and again we had such a good time. It was my wife’s birthday and we really wanted to see sharks so he took us to a spot we’re we saw a bunch of sharks, rays and even 3 octopi!! Jack was an instructor for a different group on the boat but he was so funny and really made the trip fun as well. I highly recommend diving with this company!! Great boats, great gear, great prices, great fun!!

I really enjoyed the two dives at Catalina Islands with Tamarindo Diving. The tour was really well organized and and guided. There was water and snacks on the boat and when I asked, I even got a cold beer after the two dives :)
The experience was really cool and we got to see some fancy stuff and even hear the Humpback whales under water. The team was experienced, helpful and just cool! Thank you again for the trip! Pura Vida!

Une très belle expérience ! Une belle équipe avec une belle entente. Nous avons plongée avec ma femme et franchement l’organisation, le timing et les 2 spots étaient 👍👍👍. Banc de Thon, banc de poisson de caraibes, requins et raies mobula qui sautaient sur l’ocean et sur le retour on croise une tortue ! Encore bravo à l’equipe pour cet agreable moment !
