Our guide was Great. He was extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to his home. We saw lots monkeys, crocodiles, raccoon, baby birds, and iguanas. Guide literally gathered every piece of trash he seen and packed it all out. He helped several other guides with everything from boat troubles to providing extra water to other groups who had ran out of water.

It was nice to sail through the mangroves, but I imagined it would be more spectacular. We saw a few birds and a small crocodile that had just climbed onto a sandbank. I couldn't spot the other two crocodiles that the guide saw. To compensate, we stopped and were able to get out to see monkeys up close.
The group was a bit too big for me. Because of the low tide, we ran aground several times...

Christian was an awesome guide! He took us through the mangroves, saw many birds, crocodile, bats, howler monkeys. He was SO knowledgable and interesting.I HIGHLY recommend him as a guide.

My sister and I wanted to find an opportunity that wouldn’t be so far from Tamarindo to see some animals. This tour was a great experience and we felt like we were in a totally different place and not the busy beach area. The owner communicated well with us and was able to adjust our tour start time to begin earlier before the low tide set in. This ended up being a great decision and Moises was able to point out a lot of animals (birds, crocodiles, bats and monkeys) to us. In addition to pointing out the animals, Moises also shared a lot of knowledge about them so we ended up learning quite a bit of new facts! This tour also included the transportation which was great and our driver Verny was kind and took us back to central tamarindo instead of our hotel as per our request. Overall, recommend this tour if you want to learn new things about these animals and admire some of the nature that is so close to the busy beach area.

We had an AMAZING time with Christian and Juan Carlos. They have so much knowledge and were able to explain things to us and teach us new things. They did not disappoint in the slightest. Made us feel right at home. We saw multiple crocodiles, birds and monkeys. Took us a little long to find the monkeys but we did not give up! And it was worth the wait. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the wildlife and nature of Costa Rica

Two years in a row doing tours with Vernie. Most knowledgeable tour guide I’ve ever had the privilege to meet. Did 2 different excursions over the last 2 years and we keep learning more and more about the beautiful country. Versed in the culture, country, politics and government. Made the drives go by quickly. If you get a chance to pick your guide ask for him.

Moises was an amazing guide! He provided a wonderful experience boating up the river. He is so knowledgeable about Tamarindo and Costa Rica in general, including all of the terrain, wildlife, and the river itself. We had water and fresh pineapple on board, and it was truly a highlight of the trip here.

My wife and 4 teenagers had a great boat tour with Christian. We saw 5 crocodiles, howler monkeys, iguanas and many local birds. Christian is a great guide providing details on the ecosystem, wildlife and history of the area.
