We had a great trip. We rented 4, two seater quads. Our check in process was a little worrisome, but it all ended up great. It would be really nice if we could do all the paperwork online. There wasn't a ton, but would be cool to do it all online. The staff was fun from the beginning and the dogs greeted us with wags. Pachi was a great guide. He really took time to give us a great experience. He took lots of fun pictures for us, showd us cool sites and some wonderful critters. He really enjoyed showing us his country and all the unique things it has to offer. He went the extra mile for sure. He made the trip thrilling and spectacular. We saw areas of the countryside we never would have seen without the ride on the quads. He worked hard to find us a sloth, but they eluded us- hopefully next time! This adventure made our trip! Wish we could rent quads every day from AXR! Go for it and have a blast!

Amazing trip. Highly recommended. ATV Tour stoped at a waterfall in the jungle with a natural pool. You could jump off the cliff if you dared.

The machines were good, a little weak for 2 people, but overall they did the job.
My only complaint was that when I booked they said they had maps of the trails and when we got there they did not, so that made things more challanging...

Our guide, Danny was the best. Took us to the waterfall and was patient with us in the hike. Took "million-dollar pictures" of our group and was very informative on the trip.

We enjoyed every part of this trip. A dip with a cool refreshing waterfall was especially great. Our guide was Danny, who was excellent. Besides he and his partner making sure that we knew how to drive, safety and fun was their highest priority. He also took great pictures and showed us some interesting “secrets” of the jungle. Be sure to wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, your swimsuit under your clothes and maybe a pair of water shoes( there is a place to store them on the ATV) if you think you might go in the waterfall pool. This is one of the great adventures in Costa Rica..

We did the half day tour February 1, 2023. We had the pleasure of spending half the day with our wonderful guide Gabriel. Gabriel is so knowledgeable and his English is perfect. He knows all about the area and Costa Rica. The tour is a lot of fun, the scenery breathtaking. The highlights of the tour are Jaco Falls, wear a swimsuit.it’s so refreshing and clean also the stop at the top of the hill little restaurant. Great food if you wish to purchase. Charming staff. AXR is a great company to deal with, helpful and professional staff. Thank you again Gabriel, you made our experience even more enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend this company and this tour. We would do it again anytime.

We had a wonderful time touring the area around Jaco with Gabriel! He took us on a great tour, was full of lots of interesting info on the local animals, insects and waterfalls. Had a refreshing swim in a waterfall, great views of the country side, and a cold drink in a cool bar overlooking the hill and the ocean in the distance.

Outstanding experience with Pachi doing the 3 hour ATV tours. This may have been the highlight of our trip. After taking a dip in the waterfall / natural pool, Pachi took us to an awesome spot at the top of the mountain. Local Costa Rican food and delicious drinks.
Our guide was absolutely spectacular - super friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna.
Only downside was that it rained a bit so the waterfall turned brown - but nothing you can do to alter nature!
We had two singles and one double with a 9 yr old in tow - which worked great for us.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking to rent ATVs.

This company will keep your deposit. do NOT trust them! They OVERCHARGE EVERYTHING. Told me they would take a $500 deposit & when ATV got Stuck, they charged me a $1000 deposit. BAD COMPANY BAD OWNERSHIP

We are group of 6 ppl with 2 adult drivers. We would like to book buggy (4 ppl) and twin ATV (2 ppl), on the SAME tour, at the SAME TIME. if we book online a buggy & ATV, can you arrange for us to ride together at same time?

Hi - is this something I can do as a family I have a 5 year old? Also I see the driver must be 18 - if he’s 17 with a valid drivers license can he drive as well?

5 year old could be a passenger on a 4-wheeler or you could take a Dune Buggy . My 15 year old son drove his own 4- wheeler so I think your 17 year old would be fine especially if he has some experience driving.

Is the starting price for each tour 30 minutes long? The information is a little confusing.
I see a lot of reviews for the 3 hour tours, how much is that?

I dont think that options is open being that it takes more than 30 minutes to actually get views and sight seeing done. Takes about that long just going up the mountains .... get the 3 hour and make it worth it but 2 hour is just as fine. We got to eat at the top of mountain and jump in the water fall for the 3 hours ...

It depends on the age and skills of your children. You should probably book 2 doubles or an ATV that holds 4 people. The guides at this business are very helpful and will check to make sure everyone has the necessary skills before riding alone.
