This is a part of the amazing landscapes of Costa Rica you will miss unless you do this trip. It is a challenge and a little intimidating but totally worth the initial nervousness. That scare will slowly settle down as you realize how incredibly capable and reassuring the rafting guides are at what they do. Navigating the chutes and white water is of course the primary job, but their humor, the obvious camraderie amongst their crew and their knowledge of the flora, fauna, traditions & culture of Costa Rica is top notch. We were picked up at our place in Jaco right on time by a friendly driver and had a comfortable drive down to Quepos where we enjoyed a nice Costa Rican breakfast at their meeting point restaurant. Post-adventure lunch was also served there, clean, friendly & comfortable we had a nice selection of local foods. I could not catch the spelling of our guide--apologies for the incorrect spelling but sounds like Heidel or Heigel--but he was phenomenal. I have done rafting trips in California and SEAsia and he was amazing. He was patient with our initial shortcomings and like all of the guides, he was top-notch at navigating the river, pointing out interesting features of flora, fauna and geology of the area and overall giving us a remarkably memorable experience.

We had the BEST time! The food was great, our guide (Orlando) was amazing and the rapids were no joke! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an adrenaline rush:) Our guide was professional and we felt very safe and well instructed.

These people are the best. We actually did the Local Flavors tour one day and the River Rafting the next. Both were great tours. The staff from the shuttle drivers, to the waitstaff, to the tour guides are amazing! Shout out to Danny, Jeremy, Warner, Jorge, and Stephanie for the local flavors tour. And another amazing shout out to Eric, Nicolas, and Jonathan for the river rafting, as well as the shuttle driver whose name I can't remember. Pura Vida!

I went white water rafting with some of my classmates. It was so much fun. The rapids were so big and fun. Our guide, lettuce, lead us through the river. We ended up flipping but because of our amazing guide we were all back on the boat safe. And now we have am amazing story to tell.

Had a blast, Orlando was our guide and did an amazing job. Best way to cool off on a hot day. Felt safe the entire time and am definitely doing this again!

My husband and I had a blast doing this for the first time. It’s been days later and we are still talking about how awesome it was. We went down so many rapids. Nic made it more of an experience and we enjoyed talking with him. The only downside is the thought that rafting trips anywhere else will not be as exciting.

We had such a blast!! We had 9 people and 3 rafts. My instructor was Mario. He was fantastic! He instructed us the whole way and definitely great at what he does. There was also Tony who was another instructor. Tony was our essentially our tour guide on the way down to the river on the bus. He had a great personality! The overall trip was excellent.

Amazing tour! Very unique experience! Got to experience white water rafting in a smaller raft since it wasn't rainy season. Mario was a great tour guide and Tony kept the ride there and back very entertaining. We had a blast! Even got to see a Tucan and monkeys!
