Very nice tour with mini group (4 people),
Pick-up in the port and organization all in the best.
Always a lot of time, no hassle.

One of the best tours I have ever taken!! Ariel is an amazing guide! He answered all of our questions and provided a very informative narration while traveling to a location. While at each attraction, he pointed out many bird and tree species. Our driver, Angel, was the most engaged driver I have ever had. He pointed out points of interest and helped locate macaws and toucans. He found alternative route when a road was closed to show us a known macaw location. Highly recommend this tour!!

This was a port of call on a cruise, Had a walk about around trinket stall/market
Rained very heavily, strolled around the town.

We are sorry to read this review and you must to post it in the wrong place. Our Tour Puntarenas Highlights is a great tour and last 6-7 hours. We visit the Rainforest and hanging bridges, where wildlife species can be seen. Besides this we include a boat tour in Tarcoles river where huge crocodiles are the main attraction, besides many aquatic birds. We include as well, a beautiful souvenir and restaurant. So, many things to see and do during our tour.

It is not explained that you need to choose btn a zip line, a jungle hike, or a trailer pulled by a tractor through the "jungle". If I had known that you didn't have to climb a lot of stairs, we would have gone on the zip line. My friends went on the hike and said it was moderately difficult, many uneven steps that were very high, a lot of up and down. They do hike and have gone on some difficult hikes.
We went on the trailer because my Mother knew she could not do the stairs (that we thought we had to climb), and could not do the hike. If there were any animals in the 'jungle' (more like a rain forest) they heard the tractor coming. The gentleman driving the tractor really tried to find something for us to see. We saw an iguana, a frog, and a lizard.
We were taken to the crocodile boats, and I did see one of the biggest crocodiles I have ever seen.
Our tour guide did the best he could and really tried to keep us happy. But I feel the tour was misrepresented. You need to choose between the tours, ( we were not told that), you take a quick ride through town (not much), the crocodile boat ride, and a tourist shopping area.

6 in 1 Limon Highlights. January 23,2023
Our Guide Luis (Luiz?) was outstanding! His knowledge of the Banana harvesting and everything else was very interesting and informative. Driver was great too.
Tour was not rushed and we had about 20 people on a big bus so it was a nice size. Good variety/balance of things to see. Saw monkeys, sloths and snakes. Truely the highlights!
Would highly recommend Greenway and this tour.

we took this because it sounded like a good tour=turned out we were correct
left from the pier, stopped to see capucin munkeys in the wild, proceeded to the rain forest (not what we expected let down) crossed the hanging bridges-then onto croc safarri-saw croc & birds (nice)-stop for refreshments & shoppng=back to pier
total time over 6 hours, well worth while & quite good

Did many excisions on the cruise. None compared to this one in terms of enjoyment and variety. Guides were very helpful and educational. No particular part was totally amazing, but the package in total was.

The good things about the excursion were the tour guide, Stephen, and seeing 19 crocodiles from a bridge overlook.
The average things were the lack of time in the shopping/eating part of the tour and seeing very little wildlife on the crocodile boat ride.
What I really want to concentrate on is a warning to everyone about the activity level of the rain forest walk. It is advertised as easy. I asked the owner of Greenway specific questions about what that meant. His answers lead me to believe that it was easy. IT WAS NOT EASY. It is climbing up and down narrow, sometimes loose, steep steps. It is crossing two long “swinging” bridges. It is hot. It is an hour long. Greenway provides NO cold bottled water. We brought water with us, left it in the hot bus and returned to very warm water. After the walk you are driven about 15 minutes to a hotel and then have to walk another 5 up a steep incline to get fruit and cold water.
Please make sure you know and consider this.
I later emailed the owner about the rain forest activity level and his answer can be summarized as “that is too bad,”

Thank you very much for your report about our tour. The tour is considered easy because it is easy for a person with regular mobility abilities. Unfortunately if you have walking problems for sure you will find it extremely difficult. Sorry for the inconvenience about that. Regarding the water, in effect we offer cold water and fresh cut fruits in Villa Santa Lucia, which is a attraction listed in the tour description and access to it it is only 5 minutes and in a beautiful garden and complex. Unfortunately you describe the tour as a chaotic scenery when it is not. Sorry for the inconveniences

I am concerned about time in port (per our ship) -- based on the time the tour would start....and the time we would get back to the ship....seems very tight....are we GUARANTEED to be back with enough time before the ship departs.

Hmm...this is a 6 Hr tour....and our ship is ONLY showing being there for 7 hours......are we not cutting this one real close....since you are not always on shore the minute they say you get to the PORT -- that's my main concern before booking this excursion....
