Highly recommend the tropical Costa Rica tour. First and foremost we had a fabulous tour guide, Sergio. He was highly organized and had an expansive knowledge of everything Costa Rica. The accommodations and locations were wonderful and the destinations were very fun. If I had one complaint, it would be that the dinners were very similar at each location with little variety and need some additional choice that highlights Costa Rican cuisine.
This was our first time using Colette Tours and I would absolutely use them again.

Hotels and itinaries are great - but there were apparent mess up on the local travel arrangements and we ended up not being able to do a family trip as planned without getting a refund - they messed up the morning and afternoon activities! When I reached out for answers and refund, the email thread went dead since!

The hotel is madr up of a series of cabins around a central planted area. You enter from the road through a high automatic gate. The owners are an Italian couple from the Veneto who took it over recently in a run down state and are in the process of improvements and plan a restaurant. The place is quiet and friendly. My tv failed to work and there were difficulties with the lock to the sliding door to the cabin.
When we arrived there was a disagreeable small in both cabins and when we complained we were told that it was due to some insect and reptile repellant that had been sprayed round the cabins once a month to deter insects and snakes which exist in the surrounding bush. When we got back at 2230 after dinner this inconvenience had gone. There are restrictions on the sanitary plumbing which need to be addressed but the bathrooms are being upgraded.
Altogether a pleasant. And friendly stay

Costa Rica Trails arranged a large majority of our trip via our travel agent. Transfers to and from airports, hotels and all excursions. They were very accommodating during the planning process and helped find great resorts and excursions and were fast to respond with changes. The staff was amazing once on our vacation and we never had any issues with our arrangements. Fantastic, trustworthy company and loved having access to a host 24-7 via WhatsApp for any questions or issues. Thank you CRT team!

Our tour in Costa Rica was operated by Costa Rican Trails. Víctor Sánchez was the manager and he was amazing. He greeted us at the airport and sent us off to Arenal with Gunner, the driver. He was very nice, he had an amazing smile and very affable way. It was a wonderful trip to the resort.
Costa Rican Trails was also the outfit that took us from Arenal to Bajo de Toro for the next resort. They did a wonderful job on that drive as well.
And Gunner came to pick us up in El Silencio to take us back to the airport.
It was an incredible vacation. All arranged by Beyond and Back Travel. Amazing.

I experience anxiety and was concerned about the coordination of the trip as it was through different agencies. However, everything worked out well and when minor things happened they were always available on "whatsapp" to provide updates and reassurance. They were very flexible when we wanted to change the itinerary slightly at the end. I would highly recommend this tour and this company. We had the trip of a lifetime. Pure Vida

Review of OASIS TROPICAL, PLAYA DEL COCO, COSTA RICA
We stayed at Oasis Tropical in 2023, and have a few things to say about the place.
Con:
There is no hot water in the kitchen, doing dishes is a chore.
NO on site laundry facilities. We took our laundry out once at a cost of $40.00us so boiled water and did it in the sink after that.
The pots and pans are crap, when I used them the coating came off in my food, very unsanitary and dangerous.
No bowls, can openers, dish towels, measuring cups, etc. Not a well stocked kitchen.
We were told our sheets and towels would be changed every 3 days, it ended up being every 7 days.
The condo sleeps four but there are only 2 chairs for sitting outside.
No tables or chairs to sit on in the back of the unit either.
The pool does not have a safety rail for getting in and out of.
There is no BBQ for use even though they told us there would be.
Only 6 lounge chairs at the pool.
The gazebo has 3 tables and 12 chairs in it, not enough for the amount of people that can stay there.
They want payment by cash only, if you use credit card they charge a whopping 23%. We were not told of this until after we arrived!!!
No receipts are issued for any money paid!
It is not close to anything. You need to have transportation or (if you can get one) a cab. Or be willing to walk a long way.
No one to meet you when you arrive.
NO safe in room
Pro:
The grounds are amazing, extremely well kept.
The housekeepers are friendly and do a great job.
The condo is very comfortable with 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, living room and kitchen.
Lots of parking

Perfectly organized. Every step of the trip was seamlessly organized. Our drivers, guides and accommodations couldn’t be better. Our tour manager Victor was extremely responsive, even with last minute requests. The hotel operators and staff were warm, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend night tours. And in Arenal/La Fortuna, the highlight was gently rafting the river and the tour/lunch at the family owned cocoa farm. An amazing country and can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend Costa Rican trails

Found this company excellent. We actually booked 9 nights, and went to Manuel Antonio too. All the transfers, activities, hotels worked perfectly- so great organisation. Payment was easy and secure. Found it saved quite a bit of money to book direct with them, rather than book via a UK based company. Only issue was when I first contacted using a hotmail address- which they didn’t receive- but fine one using another email.
