I had an evening in San Jose and didn't know what to do, and this tour was a great evening activity for a solo traveler. We went to a few local places, the food portions were decent, and our guide was super sweet (Ami) I think the price was worth it, seems to be in line if not a bit more affordable than other city food tours. Would recommend!

We took a walking food tour last night with Ama. He was a terrific tour guide who shared a lot of insight and humor with us. The food stops were unique, authentic Costa Rican, and delicious! The tour completely exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend Carpe Chepe!

In the month of December 2018, I visited the Carpe Sabor tour with Amaral. It was quite the treat as I learned a little history about Central America as it relates to Costa Rica. Next up we checked out several amazing eatery spots in Escalante in San Jose, one spot in particular was really nice as it had vegan food which was Riva. I would highly recommend this awesome experience!
