What a wonderful experience! Josh and his cousin were so informative and excited to have us experience their world. We saw plenty of sea life, and even saw a full rainbow. Bonus was the footage of our trip. Thank you!

What an amazing experience I had with my son! The owners are so friendly and engaging. They look to give you the best experience possible for their passengers and for themselves! They are passionate about their work and, we as customers, benefit greatly from their love for their jobs.
We were able to witness Risso dolphins which had never previously been seen by our captain in the area. It was an amazing time, and the drone footage was the cherry on top. I would highly recommend this group for your unique Whale Watching experience.

Josh and Andrew provided a great experience. Both were very knowledgeable about the animals, water, and nature we were exploring. Found us some wildlife right away, then brought us out to see a once in a lifetime Humpback/Orca interaction. The drone footage is such an added benefit that sets this experience above other Whale Watching options.

Great trip even with the rough water conditions. Captain Josh worked hard to find whales and wildlife! Love the drone footage makes the trip worthwhile especially season highlights. Definitely recommend very informative excursion.

What an excellent tour. I would highly recommend it. Josh was wonderful. We were able to see bears before we got to the whales. Was shone the drone footage while still aboard which was nice. He knew right where to take us and stayed a good amount of time.

This was one of the best whale watching trips I have ever been on. Captain Josh and his crew were so informative and positioned the boat so that we would get the best views of Orcas and Humpback Whales. The drone footage from the day is spectacular. I highly recommend this trip. We will be back.

Excellent tour! Captain Josh is very knowledgeable and knew where to go to see whales and other wildlife. We saw bears, seals, otters, an orca and many humpback whales. The icing on the cake was the drone that got closer to the bears, and aerial views of the whales in the water. We will treasure the drone pics and videos. Awesome experience thanks to Captain Josh!

Had an absolutely wonderful experience with Captain Josh and Andrew aboard the Rip Tide. TLDR: do yourself a favour and book this experience. You won’t regret it.
It was a gorgeous September afternoon and we couldn’t have asked for more in terms of a guide and what we saw.
We went out and were lucky enough to view a pod of humpback whales, see some sea lions sunbathing, view sea otters playing, and watch a pod of orcas up close.
One of the orcas even played with Captain Josh and a rope on the boat.
The drone footage will be an exceptional feature to this memory.
It truly was an outstanding experience from start to finish, helmed by professionals who radiate passion for what they do.

We were very impressed with all the wildlife we saw. A dozen hump back whales, 4 to 5 orcas very close to our boat, sea lions and otters! Granted it was a better than average day, but what a great captain & crew to enjoy our time with.

Our group loved the whale 🐳 watching tour and the drone footage was an added bonus! My sister wanted to see a bear and Josh brought us to a spot where a salmon stream emptied and found us a bear 🐻 😀! Big old bear sitting in a stream happily eating salmon. We had 4 whales swimming and breaching together then a few others. I was able to capture decent video of the whales and Alex provided Birds Eye view from the drone. Highly recommended! Ask him to show you his scuba diving videos - I would like to hire him as a dive guide too!

I’m traveling on Celebrity Millenium. Coming into Icy Strait pt. On July 11 at 9am and departing at 7 pm. Is the excursion hub at the dock or in Hoonah? Can my party of 3 be picked up near the ship if not near dock.
When I signup thru TripAdvisor it asks for the ship , disembarkation time( which I think is 9am), departure date- is that the same day as the tour and time is that when the ship leaves Icy Strait at 7 pm?
Thank you so much for clarifying. I’ve used trip advisor many times but this is confusing.
