This tour blew me away and I’m still in awe of how incredible our guide, Mikaela, was during this experience. She went out of her way to make sure we felt safe and took the time to take pictures of my group. The area was beautiful and even another guide, Sophia, went out her way to welcome us back in once done. Overall this trip was well worth it!!

I went solo on this trip and was accompanied by a really chill guide (Taylor Russell 🤙).
Nothing beat the sunny day, the kayaking and the remarkable views from the Mendahal lake.

Super fun and easy kayak trip. If you are looking for a first time kayak adventure this is the tour for you. If you are more seasoned at kayaking the guides give you a lot of room to play. Our guide Makaylee and driver Allison were super knowledgeable and professional but mostly FUN! Thanks for a great daytime adventure!

6 of us went out on the lake with Allegra as our guide. She was very knowledgeable of the region and made us all feel very comfortable in our kayaks. Highly recommend.

Jake was great. Tour was organized and ready to go. We loved the adventure and felt like the tour group was well prepared. Ending with snacks was a hit with my family.

We met a rep from the travel company near the tram in Juneau. It was an easy walk from our cruise ship. A driver pulled up to drive us to the lake. While we made the 20 min drive, she pointed out a variety of sights. We saw a couple of bald Eagles. She also told us about the Glacier and a few other sights.
Once we arrived at the lake we met McKaley and Miller. McKaley was our guide and Miller stayed ashore to drive the recovery boat if needed. Both were knowledgeable and helped us get the gear we needed for the trip. We had a safety brief and then headed for the lake. After getting in our 2 person kayak we headed onto the water. There were only 4 in our group. McKaley pointed out some things along the way and told us about the glacier and the water /weather conditions. We spent some time just floating looking at both Nugget Falls and Mendenhall Glacier. We had a much better view of the Glacier than you get at the National Park visitor center. We paddled up to a floating iceberg to check it out. We eventually returned to the start point and walked back to where our gear was staged. There were some cheese, crackers and some reindeer sausage to eat as well as hot apple cider. My son and I ate most of the reindeer sausage which was very good.
Our driver took us back to the cruise ship. She offered us several spots to be dropped off in town.

Tour picks you up near the cruise ships. We had a great 2 hours on the lake. Crew was helpful in setting us up for success, kayaks were sturdy and clean. Beautiful views of icebergs, nugget falls, and the glacier. Easy pace, about 5 miles. I wouldn’t recommend if you don’t have some familiarity with kayaking. We lucked out on a sunny relatively windless day; it will be more strenuous if higher winds or rain. The crew were all positive and got to know the group without being intrusive. Miller, in particular, was a laid back but observant guide, allowing us to have fun while keeping everyone together and safe.

Great 4 mile round-trip kayak to the Mendenhall glacier and waterfall! Our guide, Peyton, was knowledgeable and super friendly. She took photos of us in front of both the glacier and the waterfall. Lots of fun!

I keep questioning whether I have the endurance and upper body strength to successfully make it to the glacier. I don't regularly work out or do cardio, but I am young and relatively healthy, albeit a little overweight. Thoughts or advice on this subject?
