This was my fourth time at the show in the last 10 years. the show keeps getting more entertaining and engaging each time. The display of athleticism and agility are always a top draw it seems. The interaction with the crowd is amazing.

Wonderful experience and great atmosphere. The lumberjack competition was throughly enjoyable plus it displayed the strength and skill that the men have learned.
The crab feast was AWESOME!!! All you can eat and fresh from the ocean…great combination. Recommend highly!!

We recently returned from our second trip to Alaska and were absolutely blown away by the beauty and majesty of this great state. The lumberjack show was cute and entertaining but the crab feast was AMAZING!! This is the second time we visited the George Inlet Lodge for their scrumptious all-you-can-eat crab feast. Our hostess, Isabel, was a darling and very attentive, always making sure everyone had enough to eat and drink.
Anyone visiting Ketchikan needs to get to the lodge for the best Dungeness crab in Alaska!

This was the funnest thing we did in Alaska. The show was entertaining and had a lot of great audience participation monents for adults and kids. This kept the interest of my 3-year-old son the entire time. The different events were interesting to watch. Overall, this show lasted around an hour and is a great source of entertainment for young children.

The lumberjack show was informative, entertaining, and full of energy, it was a very good show. Following the show, you walk back to the visitor centre (5-7 min. walk), and board a van for a 25 minute ride to the Crab Shack. You have approximately 80 steps to get down to the feast, ( a shuttle is available for those with mobility concerns). Tally was our host, she was lovely, and very hospitable. The Dungeness crab was good. My only criticism is the closeness we had to sit at our table, and the van was confining, as it seated 12 people, and you had to climb into the back. I found it tight fitting, for an elderly person it would be difficult to get in. At the crabshack, we were crammed in a room, at a table of 22. We had to be careful not to hit the person sitting beside you, while you were cracking your crab. If I were to do it again, I would book the Lumberjack show, and find a seafood place to eat along the pier.

On our Alaska cruise, the kids wanted to go see this show in Ketchikan and so we bought the tickets online as soon as the ship docked into port. The show was fun with a lot of funny country sounding names like 'Lasagna Joe' 'Sunshine', 'Heartbreaker' etc. Essentially they divide the audience into two groups and have them cheer their team and boo their opponents and the two teams have a contest doing 'Lumberjacky' things. It was a lot of fun and the hour passed so quickly. They also have a concession stand available. In all, an excellent 1 hour spent with the kids cheering the performers all the way!

This was a super fun filled, and I mean filled way to spend the morning! The Lumberjack Show was fun and informative. It was entertaining yet serious as these young men work hard at what they do to perfect their skill set.
Then with a nice bus ride away from town we went to the George Inlet Lodge, where we ate some superior crab! Side note, there are numerous steps that you will climb down and up at the end, (they do offer a small van to carry the handicapped up and down). They carry a super local brewed Alaskan beer on tap that was refreshing and not yeast or hops forward.
Now the dungeoness crabs where cooked to perfection so the meat came out with ease. They were by far the best I've ever ate.
The only negative thing I will say is for those whom don't eat crab, you may find yourself eating some grilled chicken that while seasoned well was cold. So eat the crab as that's what their known for.
I highly recommend this excursion when visiting Ketchikan Alaska!

This was an excursion booked through our cruise ship during our port of call and cost $149 per person. If you have ever been to a Lumberjack show at a fair, this is no different. It was humorous and very entertaining for our group.
That said, the "crab feast" was lacking.
From the lumberjack show, it was a 30 minute drive up the coast, with great views and a couple bald eagle sightings. Once at the dining location, the "dining room" was packed wall to wall in a sea of plastic folding chairs and tables. Folks with disabilities had a tough time navigating.
The tables were set with a small plate of plain lettuce and plastic forks. A staff member gave us a quick rundown on shelling and eating crab after which a half of Dungeness crab was flopped onto our plates. The crab did have a great flavor, and I personally didn't use/need any butter at all. Once we finished eating, we were herded out as fast as we were herded in.
All in all the show was great with just "ok" food, but definitely NOT worth the price we paid. You can see the lumberjack show individually, which is what I recommend over this particular combo that we chose.

My Sister and I had a great time at the Lumberjack show. It was a fun entertaining time.
Then it was on to the crab feast and it was delicious! Plenty of crab and warm melted butter for dipping! Blueberry cheesecake was wonderful!

We really enjoyed this stop on our cruise, although the website was misleading. It appeared that the crab feast was included in all the tickets, but it wasn't. I was really looking forward to it, but the show itself was lots of fun and our entire family enjoyed the athleticism and talent of the lumberjacks.

We will be in Ketchikan the first week of September, as one of our ports of call on a cruise ship. Is this worth doing or should we do something else? We don't want to do anything involving boats, planes or zip lines!
