We, like so many others, scheduled, our excursions in advance. Saw a FB post suggesting his company. didn't know at the time that Dom, who suggested it, is apparently the owner. when i spoke with him, he offered a small discount to the Vietnam Vets in our group, as he is a Vet also ? great communication in the beginning.
even thru the months of Covid. when NCL had to cancel, i told him we obviously, wouldn't make it , he offered to move til 2021. we weren't sure what was happening with health issues, so we didn't want the refund. I let him know, at that point the ghosting started. I had booked our group for 8 other tours and shows (was going to Vegas on the way back) and received immediate no hassle refunds. when we received no other communication from him, and others that had booked told me he was ghosting them also, I sent details to my credit card company. They issued a temporary credit back to me, so of course, I reimbursed the others in our group. two days ago, I got the notice that he sent them a note that there are no refunds and they gave him back the $500. He is still ghosting customers. We have rebooked 3 cruises, for when ever they go. The one to Alaska in 2021 stops in Ketchikan. However, he is not acknowledging the offer of the rebooking from our paid in full. I'm reaching back out to the others that were stiffed to see about a joint effort to recoup our funds.

Dominic was amazing. His information about the history of the area really brings to life the beauty of Alaska, not just a tour. If you are eager to see wildlife and learn more about this wonderful area you should book it.

Took money for tour. cruise could not visit the port on tour day. He asked me to prove documentation from cruise line that they didn’t stop & never refunded. Said the refund was on the way multiple times. Now won’t respond.

As you can imagine we have been overwhelmed with calls and emails over the past months.

We booked a 5hr custom Whale watching and wildlife tour.
My wife's a little nervous about the sailing aspect but once we got down to the trimarans she was settled very quickly as Dominic made the Safety and Instructions very easy to follow.
After about twenty minutes of us sailing around under Dominic's supervision he let us loose so to speak.
Absolutely breathtaking experience and the views were just amazing.
Then out of nowhere Dominic had us rushing towards this point of a small island where we managed to get within 30 feet of three Humpback Whales feeding.
We then sailed back and jumped onto his van for the land tour where we got to see three bears and a mother and cub.
It seemed that everywhere we looked eagles were soaring around us.
If you get a chance to do this tour ask Dominic to take you to the small beach where he gets starfish and we saw more whales breaching.
This was by far the best tour we had in Alaska and we saw more wildlife in Ketchikan than we did in the rest of Alaska.
Thank you Dominic and Bruno (The Dog) for an amazing time with my family.

We had confirmed pre-paid reservations for this tour. Tonight I opened the electronic ticket and clicked on the link to double check where we were supposed to meet (at 0730) tomorrow morning when getting off the ship. To my shock, the link said no longer valid, tour canceled. Just yesterday the link was fine and still confirmed. No notice to us from the tour operator (Dominic Farley)! Nothing! We tried calling (left a message), sending a message via booking link...no response! Too late to schedule any other activity. Ruined our day in Ketchikan. Now I see the same feedback from others over the past few weeks (he offers multiple different tours). None of those negative reviews were showing when we booked. Beware. If a tour operator needs to emergently cancel an activity, the responsible thing is to notify the people scheduled for the tour. Now we are waiting to see if our money will be refunded. Very disappointing.

We had such a great time on our wildlife tour in Ketchikan. Dominic our guide was so knowledgeable about the area and the animals. He took us through the town and told us fun facts and information and then we headed out towards the wilderness. We were fortunate to see sea stars, deer, seals, so many bald eagles, and 4 bears including a mamma and her cub. It was an amazing experience. He also took us to an amazing waterfall which was breath taking. My kids, my mother and my husband and I all loved our time in Ketchikan thanks to our great tour. My kids are still saying, " if you see a bear yell 'bear, bear, bear and Dominic will come save you!"

During our port visit to Ketchikan onboard the Royal Princess cruise ship 5/13/2019 my wife and I had the pleasure of having Dominic as our guide. Communication was excellent as he arranged to meet us outside Arctic Bar at Berth 2. We found him very friendly & courteous as we began our tour of the city, while he explained it's history and culture. We took a walk through a park near the salmon hatchery, saw some interesting totem poles, and then we ventured out in search of wildlife. Along the way we stopped at a beach that showed the inlet as he explained about the lands on the other side of the channel and how the school system in Alaska incorporates survival skills as part of their curriculum. We saw some otters, eagles and stopped by a nice waterfall during our tour. I would definitely recommend a good pair of sneakers or light boots (no sandals or flip-flops). He took us to several spots attempting to observe black bear activity and although they were elusive I was not disappointed at all with the chance to connect with Alaska nature and breathe it all in...we even bought some Salmon Berry jam to bring home with us along the way.

Where? I suspect the answer is yes, because the salmon are running. Contact Dominick Farley at Custom Wildlife Tours in Ketchikan for an expert's opinion. We toured with him in April and saw a black bear.
