Extremely rewarding but prepare for a challenge!

The views on this walk are absolutely stunning but make no mistake it is seriously hard work! You definitely need a guide to do this, and ours (Chay) was excellent at getting us to the top. We're a young healthy couple (26-29) and honestly we agree its one of the hardest things we've done but it is so rewarding and you experience so much more of the natural beauty by walking up instead of the cable car. If you make the decision to get the cable car down for 800,000 each (instead of walk down) you can take the walk at a much nicer pace and enjoy it more, otherwise it is quite rushed doing both ways. The lunch was ample and delicious and Chay carried this for us. We are so pleased we achieved this hike, and were given national park medals at the top for making it up which was a nice touch. Despite changing the plan to get the cable car down, a car was waiting for us to take us back to our hotel. It was only us with one guide and the whole trip was well organised.

Overall would highly recommend this trip (but just admit to yourself early that you'll get the cable car down and then enjoy the hike at a much better speed).

Best experience
It was the perfect day xperience in Sapa! The people, the nature, the food everything was so nice. Getting up at 6 was totally worth it. The guides and our group was so nice and fast :) enjoyed every minute.

1 day trek - One of the best experiences we’ve ever had!!

We did a 1 day trek up to the Fansipan summit and got the cable car back down and it was absolutely epic!! We couldn’t believe how much fun this trek was, it was definitely one of the hardest things we have ever done but so worth it and you even get an official medal from the national park to top it off. Our guide Chay was really lovely, knowledgable about the mountain, let us walk at our own pace and provided us a good sized lunch. Shout out too to Mr Tinh who was quick to communicate with us upon booking and checked in with us afterwards that we were happy with our experience.

Note for those wondering if they can do this trek: Me and my boyfriend are not unhealthy but we’re also not regular hikers and I can’t remember the last time we went to the gym. We found this trek really challenging but still absolutely doable with plenty of breaks and going at our own pace. At the start I let our guide know that we were planning on getting the cable car back down and that we would prefer to go slow and steady and he completely changed the pace of the hike for us which was perfect. We didn’t have any special hiking gear for this either. We went on quite a bright sunny day so just had layers of a T-shirt, hoodie and rain mac we could take off (which mostly stayed off while walking) and I even managed this in my adidas superstars. If it had been a wet day I would suggest having better shoes but if it’s dry and your shoes are comfy I’m sure you’ll be fine, besides, our guide was basically wearing crocs!

Awesome hiking experience

The whole trip was lots of fun and well organized. I did the one day trip to Fansipan and went back down with the cable car. Sinh, the tour guide was the coolest guide and he had lots of information about culture, nature and landscape which made the hike very intersting and I almost forgot about the actual strenous hike. The pickup at the morning and after the hike worked perfectly well and the driver was punctual. All in all an experience I would definitley recommend!

Excellent guide and climb

We climbed in a group of two. Our guide, Mr Sinh, is an excellent guide as he took care of us during the climb and managed our pace well. He is also a good chef as the lunch that he cooked was very delicious. Will climb again with this company.

I did a 1-day Fansipan Trekking with Mr. Sinh, my guide, who was an absolute charm! He was so friendly, funny, and ever-so-encouraging. I wouldn't have completed the hike if it wasn't for Mr. Sinh, so THANK YOU!

And Mr. Tinh, the owner of the Sapa Original Trek tour agency, from the beginning to end, he was professional, attentive, and accommodating. I have a dietary restrictions and he even accommodated my packed lunch and snacks accordingly, checking every label if any of the items have gluten.

I definitely would recommend this company to anyone and everyone who is planning to visit Sapa and in need of a tour agency. Thank you so much for such an incredible experience!

Quick Hike up Fansipan

Had a grand time hiking up Fansipan - got the cable car back down because going downhill 11km is my idea of hell. Our guide was fantastic - funny, interesting and at our request pushed us hard to get up there pretty fast. The team were great with communication and accommodating to a date change in advance. Thanks legends!

Excellent company, great value, enjoyable guide. 10/10

Wow, amazing tour with this company and sing. At first I was a bit annoyed about the required tour guide, but ultimately this company took care of me and was a great value! They brought snacks and food on the tour, they even let me shower after the hike, the price was very fair, they picked me up from the hotel and took us out there in nice warm jeep, communication was great, and our tour guide sing was very enjoyable and nice to hike with. Absolutely book with these guys.

The hike to Fansipan was awesome! Our tour guide Chai was so nice and supportive!
During the hike he explained a Lot and WE fehlt so comfortable.

If you Plan to do a hike to the top of Fansipan, I would recommend to book this tour!

Provide extra miles for your great experience!
Always do their best to deliver the best service. Great hiking experience.

Other operators I encountered across Vietnam are constantly trying to use various excuses to charge more. But they always try to deliver more.

Remark for 1 day hiking trip, physical fit and able to handle altitude sickness (if have) is a must.

I was having a fever that day and only managed to reach the top at 3pm. He is very patient. I eventually descend by cable car while the guide descends by foot.
