Awesome experience!
The guide was friendly and informative, telling about the history of the wine estate there. The tastings were very good as well, and the staff were helpful.

Was een heerlijke dag! Lekkere wijntjes en een mooie omgeving. Soms iets teveel uitleg onderweg maar dat kan ook aan ons liggen.

Kann man machen

Abholung pünktlich morgens am Hotel. Danach noch zwei weitere Stopps, bis alle Teilnehmer an Bord waren.
3 Weingüter besucht und deren Produkte probiert. Von den angepriesenen Kellerbesichtigungen hat keine wirklich stattgefunden. War auch nicht schlimm. Qualität steht und fällt mit dem Fahrer, der gleichzeitig unser Reiseführer war. Großes Glück für uns; der war spitze.
Ein Reinfall war die Fahrt mit der alten Straßenbahn, da die Gleise repariert wurden, war die Fahrt nach ca. 1km schon beendet. Alles in Allem war der Tag sein Geld wert, insbesondere, wenn man den aktuellen Wechselkurs zum Euro betrachtet.

Perfect experience

The guide was just magnificent during the entire wine tour. He didn’t explain only about the wine estates, but also about the history of his country. The van was good for this type of group excursions.

My first wine tour! Great experience

Love this wine tour! I didn’t like all the taste of the wine but I enjoyed the tasting hahaha it was fun experience for me. We visited 3 vineyards. The first one was tasting the wine with some cheeses then 2nd vineyard was Marianne estate I enjoyed picking up lemons haha it’s a nice view there. We had fun with taking the tram and last was rickety wine tasting. Great experience

Excellent Tour
The tour guide for African Eagle did an excellent job! The tour was informative, and entertaining. He went over and above to ensure we had a great experience. I would highly recommend them. :)

In all honesty, if I could give this tour 4.5 stars, I would.
We were picked up on time by Denver, who was a wonderful guide. We started at Zevenvecht, where four wines were wonderfully paired with four cheeses. We then went to Marianne estate which was absolutely stunning beyond belief. The view of the mountains with the vineyards in front was beautiful. The wines were good but not incredible. It did come with paired biltong, a form of South African jerky of beef, kudu and springbok. Then we next did the wine tram, this was a highlight. So much fun for two stops, followed by a super fun tractor ride to Rickety Bridge. Rickety Bridge was where we had lunch (pizza and/or meat and cheese platter) and enjoyed four more wines.

Pros- loved visiting 3 different vineyards
The food pairings were great.
Views were beautiful.
Wine tram was a unique and wonderful experience.

Cons- we didn’t eat lunch until 4pm. There is a stop in the town of Stellenbosch and Denver mentioned we could get a snack but no one had any idea lunch was gonna be at 4pm. My advice is to definitely get a large snack because this planning wasn’t ideal.

This really was a fun tour!

Wine Tour Not As Described

Disappointed. Driver one hour late in arriving. Wines were hoo hum. No free water offered on bus. Tram experience a joke - one block ride to dirt road then taken up to restaurant on a tractor ride. Two parts of your skipped! Don’t waste your money

Another variation of scenery in this beautiful country
The African Eagle driver was very knowledgeable, the Zevenwacht & Marianne wineries visited were also very welcoming & informative, the scenery in the winelands is exceptional. Maybe needed a little more time to see more of Stellenbosch & Franschoek
