A great experience, we saw a lot of whales, the wine tasting was very good value and stony point was amazing too.
James was a fantastic guide and told us lots of info and even helped us with planning another day in Cape Town.

La prima cosa che vi colpisce quando arriva Seifu è il suo sorriso.
Quando lo vedrete capirete che siete finiti nelle mani giuste.
Una guida precisa, gentile, disponibile e preparata, pronta ad accontentare i suoi clienti perchè quello che conta per lui è che siano felici quando torneranno a casa.
Posti visitati da cartolina e che ci rimarranno impressi sicuramente al nostro rientro.
Abbiamo fatto il giro in nave per vedere le balene, abbiamo fatto una degustazione vini in un posto splendido (benguela cove), tappa dai dolcissimi pinguini di stoney point e varie tappe per le foto lungo la strada panoramica. Ogni tappa è stata vista con calma e senza fretta, cosa che non accade spesso.
Seifu è stato un tesoro e una volta finito il tour ne vorrete prenotare un altro per sentirvi ancora coccolati.
Noi speriamo di poter tornare un giorno e ritrovare lui.

Due to bad weather conditions boat trip was cancelled, but we decided to continue the tour trying to watch whales form the coast. Local tour operator refunded the cost of the boat trip. We could not see any whale but our guide Gavin gave us very good times at Hermanus and at Creation Winery. He was a gentleman, and gave my family and be a complete explanation about everything. We also saw penguins even though the colony was closing when we arrived.

Of course, sighting the whales was a great highlight but the care and kindness of our tour guide Reagan and the captain and crew on the boat made the experience fabulous. Reagan then went on to take us to an amazing winery for the wine tasting and delicious lunch. He is very knowledgeable and made sure all of our requests were fulfilled if at all possible. I HIGHLY recommend him and if I come back will request him as our guide.

We sailed into the far side of the bay in Hermanus - a small town on the Cape Town coast. The boat captain was very experienced and the boat was full of "eagle-eyed" customers yelling out when a whales became visible. We all chipped in, even though we didn't know each other well, and everyone shared the deck so that vantage points for pictures could be obtained for all. Drinks and snack food were provided on board for those that needed them. Wear layered clothing and bring sunscreen - even though it may be hot on land - it was actually chilly and bright on the water.
We observed Southern Right Whales - cows and calves. Some of the whales "bumped" our boat, dove for food and were seen practicing "mating" manuevers (females rolling on their backs). There were at least six (6) different whale pods observed during our almost 2.5 hours on the water. The captain manuevered the boat exceptionally well - getting close to the whales without "spooking" them.
The winery tour will be covered under a seperate review - although I can tell you that our first winery was a "letdown" and our second winery was much, much better!!
There was a lunch stop at a restaurant in Hermanus which was OUTSTANDING. This will also be covered in a seperate review.
Would I recommend this trip to everyone? The answer is a resounding "YES"....

The whale watching part of our tour was good and we saw plenty of whales as advertised. Our driver, Joseph was a nice guy and a good driver but did not add anything else to the experience. Also, he skipped the wine tasting stop.
