Our hike was brilliant made so much better with Robs, amazing knowledge of the hill and surrounding area. He explained how we'd approach the hike and ensured it was what we wanted for the hike. He took the time to point out the different types of rock, the various bushes and plants and the wildlife we would likely see.

This was the highlight of our visit to Cape Town! The views and photos were wonderful. The ladders and chains were straightforward and we had great guidance from Rob. We took it steady and he showed us how best to use our hands as well as our legs. Coming down was harder than going up but Rob showed us how best to do it for our aged knees (we’re fit but in our late sixties). A great experience, it was warm and sunny on top and coming down we had a short shower and then a rainbow over Cape Town!
Rob was great, a true professional mountain guide, very knowledgeable and good company and conversation. We felt safe all the way. He took some great photos, carried my camera case over the tricky bits and waited with us for our Uber at the bottom. A wonderful experience. Thanks Rob!

The journey started at 4:30 til 8:30 from daytime to nighttime. I could watch magnificent view of camps bay, table mountains and the city. And climbing the rocky mountain would give you the most challengable but unforgettable memory.

Great Guide and a Great Tour. Was possible for us incl. our 11 & 14 year old daughters. Upward approx 1.5 Hours. Rob was a very sensitive, gentle and flexible Guide with many years of outdoor and hiking experience. Up and downeards there were at least 3 alternative routes possible with varying degree of difficulty.

A wonderful hike with the super friendly guide Robert! The hike was very pleasant with lots of breaks to learn about the fauna, flora and history.

Wow what can I say, this tour/hike was absolutely amazing (granted I was scared at times) however our guide Fatima was fantastic in keeping me at ease and supported me throughout! Fatima was a great guide, very knowledgeable, polite and also took some nice snaps😊
I would highly, highly recommend doing to Lions Head hike to anyone - the views were just outstanding and will have memories to last a life time!

This hike was absolutely gorgeous! Fatima was amazing. She was informative, helpful, and accommodating to our schedule, and snapped once in a lifetime photos for us!!. 10/10 would recommend!!

The guided hike up Lion's Peak with Stuart was excellent. Not only did we get to enjoy the incredible views, but also learn a huge amount from Stuart about the area and its history. An absolutely fantastic way to see and experience Cape Town.

Dear Shani,
Based on my personal experience with HIKE LIONS HEAD, pick up is typically only offered for hikers staying within Cape Town central.
However, if you're staying outside of Cape Town, a meeting point can be arranged at the base of Lions Head, which is easily accessible by taxi or car. From there, the guide can guide you on your hike and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
To arrange your hike with the company I did my hike with HIKE LIONS HEAD, you can contact them via WhatsApp at [[[plus two seven eight one seven six two five five five one]]], or email them at "bookings @ hikelionshead . co . za". They can provide you with more information on meeting points and logistics for your hike, as well as answer any other questions you may have.
I hope this information helps you plan your hiking adventure as I had a great time! They offer a range of hikes and packages for both Table Mountain and Lion's Head, and the guide is an experienced guide who can provide you with interesting insights and information about the mountain and its surroundings.

Hello, The difficulty level of the hike can vary depending on the route you choose, but overall it is considered a moderate hike. It typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours to complete the hike, depending on your pace and fitness level.
You would probably need a tour company for assistance and a professional Guide, I attached below the contact of a company I did the hike with my 11 month old baby.
Otherwise, your question about bringing your 10-month-old infant, I recommend that you consult with HIKE LIONS HEAD tour company, specialized agency, l before attempting any physical activity with young children. It's also important to keep in mind that the hike involves steep inclines and rugged terrain, which may not be suitable for infants or young children.

Hello, I have personally used the services of HIKE LIONS HEAD tour agency, and I must say that their pick-up and drop-off service was excellent.
When I booked my hiking tour with HIKE LIONS HEAD, I was able to arrange for a pick-up from my hotel in Cape Town Central. The driver arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time and was very courteous and professional.
Throughout the journey, I felt safe and comfortable, and the driver provided me with some useful information about the area and the hike itself. At the end of the tour, the driver dropped me off at my hotel with the same level of professionalism and punctuality.
