Our honeymoon in Cape Town was significantly enhanced by the expertise and warmth of our guide, Aslam Benjamin. Even though my primary language is Korean, and my command of English might not capture every nuance, the tour with Aslam was nothing short of spectacular. His detailed expositions on the stunning vistas and historical depth of Cape Town were both engaging and accessible, making every moment memorable.
What stood out was Aslam’s professionalism - his punctuality and courtesy were impeccable, making us feel respected and valued. His 28 years of experience shone through, providing insights that only a seasoned guide could offer. Both my wife, whose English is somewhat limited, and I found the tour to be incredibly satisfying, thanks to Aslam’s skillful communication and attentiveness to our needs.
For Koreans with a reasonable level of English, touring with Aslam promises a uniquely enriching experience. His ability to tailor the tour to accommodate different language proficiencies ensured that we were both comfortable and fully engaged. We are already looking forward to returning to Cape Town for a family trip, hoping to once again have Aslam as our guide. His exceptional guidance makes him highly recommended for anyone seeking a tour that is both informative and considerate of linguistic diversity.

We toured for three days with Faisal and he was absolutely outstanding! Highly knowledgeable, knew the best places to go and the fastest ways to get there. He was also very flexible and allowed us to build and adjust our itinerary on the fly - extremely useful considering the weather in Cape Town can change in an instant! We toured the whole area in Cape Town, down to the Cape of Good Hope, around the city, and then spent a day in the winelands (three days total) and each one was perfect, even when it was raining. Thank you Faisal for an amazing trip!

Best tour we had while in SA, which is saying something! Tsepo our tour guide was terrific---incredibly informative, but also kept things fun enough for the kids to be interested. Great energy, too! And flexible---he accommodated whatever requests we had, e.g. snack break, and showcased his deep expertise in the area. He also made an audible to not do exactly what was on our itinerary and instead suggested World of Birds for our kids----they had an awesome time there. The van was very roomy and comfortable.
Cape Town itself is gorgeous---you will be glad you took this tour, and glad you used Ilios. They are on the higher end of the price spectrum, but assuming they have more guides as good as Tsepo, it is in my opinion money very well spent!

My husband and I had the privilege of touring Cape Town, South Africa with Phaldie. His deep knowledge, flexibility and intelligence ensured a personalized experience tailored to our preferences. Phaldie's ability to share personal stories added a special touch to the tour. His passion for his country was evident in his positive outlook and genuine love for sharing insights about the local culture, including phrases and expressions unique to the region. It truly enhanced our understanding and appreciation of Cape Town. Phaldie's enthusiasm for his profession and his country shone through in every aspect of the tour.
We particularly appreciated his photography expertise, as he not only knew the best locations but also how to capture beautiful shots of the two of us. It was a rare treat to have memorable photos of ourselves while exploring the city.
Phaldie’s dedication to providing an exceptional experience, combined with his warm and friendly demeanor, as well has his wonderful sense of humor made our time together truly unforgettable. We had a great two days with Phaldie touring the winelands, table mountain, cape of good hope, and simonstown. Phaldie was super knowledgeable and very focused on customizing the tour to our interests. Highly recommend!

Wow, truly an amazing experience. As beautiful as Cape Town and it’s beauties may have been, one immense highlights was having a Tour guide like the one we had the pleasure of having. Phaldie went out of his way to make sure that we were content and read us like a book regarding what we would like from coffee to viewing animals that be rare to see.
I would recommend this tour, and as a VIP experience ask for Phaldie!

We had a wonderfull day trip to the cape of good hope and boulder beach from capetown today. It was a great experience with our guide Ash. We learned a lot, had amazing views, excellent late lunch at simon town. I will definitely rebook with you guys the next time we visit south africa.

I just wanted to pass along my thanks and appreciation to Zelda at Ilios Travel, who showed us around Cape Town for 1.5 days earlier this month. My family of 4, which varied in age from 11 to 65+, had a wonderful time and really appreciated Zelda’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and adaptability. We had (unexpectedly) taken a tour of many of Cape Town’s main tourist locations the day before we were due to meet with Zelda, who had a very detailed itinerary from our travel agent. Therefore, our initial contact with her was to ask if we could reconfigure all our plans for the next day and a half. She was gracious, accommodating, and helpful in guiding us towards the “don’t miss” items instead of trying to get us to stick with the preplanned itinerary, which we did not want to duplicate (but I’m sure would have been much easier for her.) She made countless calls and plans and was able and willing to make them happen without any problems or inconveniences to us whatsoever. We truly felt as though we saw the major highlights of the area, enhanced by the small touches of stopping for spectacular views, unique sights, and even local markets and coffee shops- all of which truly allowed us to enjoy a local flair to our trip.
Our agent Giada at Go2Africa, along with Zelda, were instrumental in our total and thorough enjoyment of the Cape Town portion of our 2-week African adventure. I’d also like to note that all the drivers that were booked through Ilios were polite, cordial, and timely and we were very impressed with all the services we received through your company.

Lizel was incredible. We had a lady that picked us up in Franschoek and took us to Oudtshoorn. She was outstanding. Very friendly, amazing person, knowledgeable and went out of her way for us. Her recommendations was spot on. Her funny bubbly personality will make your trip. She made our whole trip to SA. Lizel you are a Jewel - You are the best in this company!

Our US travel outfitters arranged for airport pickup and tour services with Ilios. The airport pickups and deliveries were excellent - - Jerome was a delight and a very nice welcome to Cape Town. John, our full-day private guide was really excellent and very experienced, although a bit short on “what would you like to do today?”
However, we had two very unsatisfactory interactions with Ilios representatives. In each case, we called Ilios to make changes in our pre-arranged plans. In both cases, the hotel staff members who made the initial contacts at our request got rude, argumentative, and (to them) insulting responses. When I called to try to make our wishes clear, I also got an argument, which caused me to cancel a pre-arranged airport trip from Franschhoek and to make our own arrangements.
Our rating of Good above is in recognition of their performance on pre-arranged trips. They were punctual, dependable, and their staff were good. If that had been the extent of our interaction, they would gotten four dots. But these pre-arranged transports are easy. We need travel professionals who are flexible, smart, and who’s first response is “we can absolutely help you with your request/problem/change of plans”. This was absolutely NOT Ilios Travel in these two instances.
