OMG our tour with Louw has been amazing. Great communication - he is friendly, informative and knowledgeable and not just about wines. We went to three very different wineries tailored to our tastes and a picture postcard stop for lunch by the bottom of the mountain where we tried a local dish recommended by Louw which was outstanding. Ask for Louw if you book this trip. You will not be disappointed. It certainly exceeded our expectations.

We booked this tour as a part of honeymoon. John, the owner of Wine Escapes, picked us up promptly at our hotel in Cape Town and we immediately knew we would have an enjoyable day with him. We stopped at 3 different wineries, all offering a different experience. It was truly so much fun - how could it not be? Wine, cheese, nougat, beautiful views, sunshine, and a lovely tour guide! All 3 of the wineries were so well kept and we essentially had them all to ourselves. You could tell the staff at each winery had a mutual respect and comradery with John, which was so nice to see. We made a lunch stop at Tokara, which had equally incredibly food and views. My husband and I look back on this day as one of our very favorite days of our 2 week honeymoon exploring South Africa. Thank you, John!

This one day tour was filled with spectacular sights, great wine, and an excellent tour guide. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable on the wines and also the areas we went through/to. Each place we went had its own unique style. Definitely recommend if you want to go to a few great wineries and be safe getting around.

Louw was absolutely the most knowledgeable and extraordinary local host we could have ever asked for. He took us to several local wineries of which we enjoyed the most spectacular personalized wine tastings and experiences we could have imagined. We planned on buying 1-2 bottle and instead bought 7. The experience emphasized quality over commercialized wineries/ popular and the service we received was second to none! We will definitely be back and be using Louw again. We would have used him for all 7 nights we were here if possible. He is incredible and amazing!!! Buy a donkey. Thank you very much! The experience was absolutely unforgettable.

Spent a full day with Wine escapes and Louw. Visited three great Stellenbosch vineyards with delicious wines. And a lunch stop at a wonderful restaurant.
Louw was terrific host letting us move along at our own pace, giving us some interesting historical perspectives of the region and guiding us in appreciating the quality of the wines. We never felt hurried which I really appreciated and each place had a unique and different feel to them.
I recommend this tour and Louw very highly. A very enjoyable day. With great wine and beautiful scenery.

My wife and I had the most outstanding day. We were blessed with amazing weather and the best guide we could ask for (Louw).
Louw really personalised our trip, was great company from the start, was incredibly passionate, and had so much wisdom and knowledge to share.
He provided us with a great blend of vineyards to experience which gave us perfect variety.
Thoroughly enjoyed experiencing some of the most beautiful parts of South Africa, and we would highly recommend a trip with Louw!

This was a lovely day with a very knowledgeable host who was also great company. Tokara vineyard was closed due to horrendous weather but we had a substitute which was fine.

We will be visiting Cape Winelands on March 1-3 and would like to do a one day private tour in Stellenbosch. Do you have availability on Monday 3/2?
- How many vineyards can we cover today if we’d like to spend lunch in one of the cellars?
- Does wine tasting include visit to the vineyard, cellars, learning the wine making process, or is it simply tasting the estate’s wine?
