Exhilarating hike up a tricky trail but if you have a head for heights and good flexibility for the scrambling sections just do it!! Our guide was Steph and she supported us on the more difficult stretches with a helping hand inspiring us to keep climbing 😀 The views were spectacular and when you get to the top you have earned your coffee and muffin!

Had an excellent hike with Riann. My partner was scared of heights and we were going to do the easy route on Platteklip but Riann explained he felt he could help my partner overcome her fears and so we gave India Venster a try. We had an amazing day. Riann is extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help us during the hike. I would highly, highly recommend hiking with Riann.

We were nervous and apprehensive as some reviews mentioned this to be a difficult or intermediate hike. We're both reasonably fit guys in their 40s but weren't sure what to expect. Hendre our guide made everything perfect! She's enthusiastic, chatty, focused and helps when she needs to & leaves you at it when she sees you're fine. We had a few people on our hike that felt unwell and she dealt with them both perfectly. We made it up in just under three hours and the chains, staples and climbs (scrambles) were challenging but nothing seriously threatening. Hendre talks you through each footstep and hand position. Our views and weather were perfection that day so felt super lucky! If you like early mornings and beautiful views, this is definitely worth it! The accomplishment of getting to the top was worth every second!

What a spectacular hike up Table Mountain. Johan was such a wonderful guide and very patient with us. It was indeed challenging for me (I am in average shape for 57 and somewhat afraid of heights) but Johan was very helpful in showing me how to scramble. My 58 year old husband had no trouble at all with this hike since he is a runner. The description of the hike is certainly accuate, if you have determination you can make it! The views and our guides knowledge on the local birds and plants was amazing as well.

Brilliant guided hike/scramble up Table Mountain.
Really enjoyed the route, and much better than just getting the cable car up!
We had Matt as our guide and he was excellent, Riaan organised everything and was quick to respond to emails and arranged hotel pick up too.
Hike table mountain also do easier/even more challenging routes and have them all detailed on their website.
I wouldn't normally hire a guide as I'm more of an independent traveller, but this was definitely worth it and it was very good to have Matt guide us up the scramble sections.
He also had loads of tips for Cape Town in general and pointed out some highlights on the way back to the hotel.
Highly recommended.

This was a tremendous experience! Our guide was super kind, informative, and very helpful. We felt safe and had an awesome time hiking and scrambling up the mountain. We went at a nice pace, whatever we were most comfortable with. It took about 2.5-3 hours with stops for water and photos. Definitely a moderate fitness level required as you do have to hike some major uphills and climb up the rocks in certain areas - but nothing insane. This was a tremendous way to start the day at Table Mountain.

We had a great time with Steph, who picked us up on time, was lovely throughout and very knowledgeable of the route, (and pointed out to us the plants to definitely not to touch!). Great communication prior to the event, and were very accomodating when we wanted to change days last minute. It is a very early start, but well worth it - you feel like you are climbing the mountain alone, miss the sun hitting you so it is cooler, and by the time you reach the summit, only the first few cable car users are there meaning it is nowhere near as crowded as it could be! Would thoroughly recommend this activity with this company.

Excellent trip up Table Mountain with Johan with a fun and friendly small group. Our very late request (7pm the night before) was met with flexibility and ultimately they found space for us.
Instructions pre-hike were clear and upon arrival the vibe was very nice. We were torn between taking a guide or flying up alone; we are both so glad we took the guide for peace of mind, things we learnt (history, flora and fauna, climbing specifics), safety, and camaraderie amongst our group.
Well worth it 🙌

Did this hike with Steph and it was unforgettable. Absolutely would recommend this hike and this company in general as they go out of their way to match up hikers of similar abilities, or inabilities, if within a group setting. Most companies will just dump everyone together without regard to differing levels of ability and then it's just painful for everyone to get through.
Steph was an excellent guide and went out of her way to ensure everyone was having a great time on the hike up.
