We love cheetahs, having been lucky enough to see 25 ish of the 50 in thr Masai Mara. While the heaths at the Outreach can’t be released in the wild, the charity is doing a wonderful job, breeding and placing Anatolian shepherd dogs with farmers to reduce trapping and poisoning of the cheetahs. We had a wonderful time with Tobias. He was not put under any pressure to interact with us, and genuinely appered to enjoy the experience, given the purring he was emitting.

We went to the cheetah outreach in Strand, and paid for the cheetah encounter. The whole experience for all three of us was two minutes. They should have told us the cheetah is sleeping before paying so we had to choice to come back another time or rather book a feeding time tour.

Our fantastic experience began with our friendly tour guide Elifas, who was incredibly knowledgeable and funny. We thoroughly enjoyed the Cheetah encounter and would highly recommend. We had plenty of time at each stop off at both the strand beaches and Gordon's Bay. Would advise those visiting Cape Town to book this tour!

The tour including Cheetah Outreach was fantastic. It turned out to be a private tour as i was the guest that day and my Name is Norman and as it turned out by a coincidence so was the guide - so we became Norman 1 and Norman 2. Norman 1 was a fantastic guide with great stories and local knowledge and really made the experience even better than i expected. You will not find a better guide anywhere in Africa than Norman 1 and i hope hiss boss will give him a pay increase !

Thanks Elifas for the tour. I recommend this tour if you want something quick and low pace.
1. Yes. You have to pay extra for the Cheetah Encounter but it is worth it as the money goes to saving these beautiful creatures. They do not abuse or mistreat the animals here. They are a conservation site to help raise the numbers of cheetahs in the world.
2. Yes. We did go to the beach, so make sure to bring your beach items. The beaches are away from the main city center so it is a little quiet town for those that like and want queit time.
3. I travel by myself a lot so it was very convenience to go with this tour versus just taking an Uber or Taxi to the cheetahs. Just know that internet signal (4g) here doesn't work, even though I have an international plan. Getting an Uber or taxi may not be that easy. Some people have been robbed or scammed from taxi drivers.

It’s a scam. For all American visitors, this is NOT a tour. It’s a taxi ride round trip for $50/person. If I had known, wouldn’t have booked, as we had our own rental car. The guide drops you off at the Outreach and waits in the car. You pay for not only entrance, but also for the cheetah encounter yourself. Which is quite deceiving from the way it’s advertised. We got picked up at 10am and returned to the hotel at 12:30. The drive is about 20min one way. There’s not much to see at the Outreach, and it doesn’t cover much land. There was no beach stop. Tried to get a partial refund from the booking site. The guide’s vehicle is also smelly and needs cleaning/vacuuming. Very disappointing.

Good and thank you for the review. The driver submitted his report about your unacceptable behavior and conduct during the Tour and you demanded him to overspeed because other vehicles were overtaking and he was driving at a safe speed and complying with the rules of the road to ensure your own safety and safety of other road users. Upon arrival at the Cheetah outreach you refused to comply with the instructions of the Tour guide and after the Cheetah encounter you refused on your own to complete the other parts of the Tour and you demanded to ba taken back to the hotel.
This is not the first time we have done this Tour and many of our clients have written good reviews which you can also read on this platform. You know very well that all of what you have mentioned is not what happened.

Der Fahrer Elvis war spitze . Der Preis beinhaltet lediglich den Fahrpreis, Der Eintritt für die Geparden, Luchse usw, muss extra bezahlt werden. Das ist etwas undurchsichtig. Die Tour ist ansonsten cool und Elvis erzählt auch viel zur Geschichte von Kapstadt bzw. den Townships.
