We booked this tour with Gravity in Oludeniz
What this tour really looks like :
- pick up from Oludeniz between 7:30-8:00
- 2 hours drive to the base (Koycegiz Golu)
- 45 min breakfast (pastry, cheese, veggies, olives, Turkish tea - all tasty)
- Short 5 min drive to the lake
- Crossing the lake by boat (20 min)
- 90 min drive to the Dalaman river
- 120 min rafting
- 90 min drive to the lake
- 20 min crossing the lake
- 5 min drive to the base
- 45 min lunch (salad, rice, chicken and potato stew, green beans, tea - all tasty)
- 2 hours drive to Oludeniz (arrival around 19:00)
Price was 300tl per person for all of the above.
If you would like to have the pics and video it will cost you another 200 (per couple or group).
They offer a pair of rubber shoes for 60tl as well but do not buy these, bring a good pair of sneakers that you don't mind getting wet. The tour involved a fair amount of walking on challenging terrain and you need a good pair of shoes.
Positive sides: countryside is beautiful, the crew is lovely and helpful. Rafting is challenging but fun. The first bit is the most difficult, after that it's manageable even for beginners.
Negative sides: if we knew we would spend the biggest part of the day driving in a van, we wouldn't have gone.
We have never gone rafting before and felt like they didn't prepare us enough. In fact our dinghy capsized and we all fell in the river and it was the most terrifying experience I've ever had. Crew got us out of the water quickly thankfully.
All you need to bring is swimsuit, t-shirt, good pair of shoes, sun block and a change of clothes for the end. You can have a shower at the base too. You cannot bring glasses, sunglasses, cameras or anything with you on the dinghy and there is a good reason for this. You can leave all your belongings in the van.
