Beautiful place. The view of the hill from the route is beautiful, it is not appreciated being on site. Make it light on luggage. Excellent crafts for the one who likes to buy. You can eat on site. In half a day it can be done quietly. There are lodgings but the truth is I don't do much research about it. Worth the trip!!!

Although it was a long day in a bus the scenery was exceptional in both directions. The tour is nicely paced with appropriate rest stops. Our guide, Cesar, was exceptional. His English was good and he shared many stories including information about the indigenous cultures in the area.

It was a long day but I enjoyed learning about the cultures and natural history of the area. Emilia was a great guide and, although I was the only English speaker, she took care to ensure I received the same explanations as the Spanish speakers. Mariano was a careful driver. I appreciated the size of the group - less than 20, I think.

I learned alot about the history of the Andes, the geology of the mountain ranges and the history. Mauricio was very patient and spoke good english. I would definitely recommend going on this tour but also plan to stay in Tilcara for the next trip or at least so you can visit the places for longer.

Very good (although somewhat dizzying) one-day tour of Quebrada de Humahuaca, Tilcara and Purmamarca.
Now that we know, the ideal would be to take a 2 or 3 day tour staying in one of the three towns; just as Iván Bianchi, a very good guide from Uquía Turismo, Salta, very wisely suggested to us.
Anyway, the experience was worth it.

No pudimos hacer la excursión por corte de ruta en jujuy . Lo malo es que la empresa conocía la situación con anticipación, no nos dieron la opción de cambiar el destino. Nos avisaron del corte , cuando ya estábamos en la Traffic, y sabiendo q no se podía llegar a Purmamarca, aún así nos condujeron hasta kilómetros antes del corte de ruta. Nunca nos ofrecieron otra excursión en ese lugar , ni posponer la fecha . Cobraron el costo y no nos dieron la excursión, solo un paseo x la ruta , haciendo tiempo para volver a salta capital aprox en el horario estimado y dar la impresión q se cumplió c el compromiso. Conclusión no cumplieron con el compromiso y a mi criterio y de la mayoría de pasajeros nos cobraron y no nos dieron la excursión . Muy mal.

Lo impactante del lugar no tiene calificativo en palabras que lo pueda describir totalmente.
Es una experiencia para vivirla con ojos propios; ninguna cámara fotográfica puede representar fielmente cada color en esa inmensidad.

Die Farben der Berge sind unglaublich schön. Man kann sich stundenlang verweilen. Gegen Spätnachmittag sind die Farben am schönsten

Pick up was fairly straightforward - tour was timely with this. Bathroom breaks and stops were well spaced. Meal times were appropriately scheduled. Initially I was nervous to book the tour since there weren’t hundreds of reviews. Not sure still if this tour is the same as the ones others have mentioned, given that Tangol seems to be a third party provider.
Nonetheless… As a group, we were able to make many, many stops, and I did not feel rushed with any of them in particular. Could have been nice to spend more time in Purmamarca. This stop was my favorite. I was the only (?) English speaker and the guide was inclusive - consistently translating the entire time. I could imagine the same day being split into two days and being a bit more relaxed (with say, a night in Purmamarca). Nonetheless I was pressed for time, so this tour was absolutely perfect for me.
The sights are absolutely beautiful. The tour is not so much trekking as much as it is seeing beautiful landscapes and exploring the small towns in the area.

Vamos a estar en Humahuaca, llegando el 24 de Noviembre (Ojala !). Sabe si es posible conseguir un tour el 25 (por tres personas) de la quebrada y alrededor de un dia saliendo de Humahuaca y terminando sea en Humahuaca o en Salta.

Hola gente! yo no soy hipertensa, no estoy medicada. Pero quisiera saber si hay que tomar algún recaudo, ya que he sufrido dos picos de TA en el año, aunque todos los chequeos han salido muy bien. Sólo para prevenir y no asustar a mis compañeros de viaje. Muchas gracias!

Hola!La verdad, en 1 día, andás a mil. Yo a Purmamarca volví porque no me alcanzó el tiempo pero porque me encantan las artesanías y ahí hay muchos lugares de venta. La excursión está muy buena. Recorrés y conocés mucho.

Hi!, the estimated time its about 19:30 or 20:00 so i think you shouldnt buy any ticket for that time...perhaps 22:00.. the trip may last a little bit longer if its to much traffic in the area.
