Diego was an amazing guide. I appreciated the knowledge and insights he shared regarding the Mapuche, Tehuelche, and canoe tribes. The visit to the Catholic Church to view the Station of the Cross sculptures was truly fascinating and really brought all of the information presented during the tour into focus.

Very informative and interesting tour from Diego again, our second one after the German Footprint one a few days ago. Covered a lot of fascinating history about the indigenous people of Patagonia in both English and Spanish languages. Would highly recommend!

A guia Diana é ótima, atenciosa e conhecedora da história da Patagônia. Passeio muito agradável! Além da paisagem maravilhosa, aprendi sobre a formação da cidade de Bariloche!

Nossa guia Diana além de amável e simpática demonstrou total conhecimento sobre a história de seu lugar.
Fez questão que compreendessemos tudo apesar das barreiras linguísticas, o que não era sua obrigação já que sabíamos que guia não era em português. Muito gentil e extremamente competente. Recomendo mil vezes

Guiden var meget engageret i emnet, og havde megen stor viden og kunne forklare det meget godt.
Gennemgangen af de forskellige indfødtes stammer og deres leve-vilkår gav os stor forståelse.
Også spaniernes og senere argentinernes holdning til de indfødte blev gennemgået på en meget forståelig måde.
De problemer, der nu er med at få regeringen til at leve op til de løfter, som selvsamme regering har afgivet overfor stammerne, har måske medvirket til nogle af de voldelige situationer, der er opstået.
Besøget i katedralen var også meget interessant ligesom beretningerne om “totempælene”!
På museet er der meget dårlig luft! Vi fik åndenød, og vores guide faldt besvimet om.
Vi var på besøg dagen efter, da billetten, efter den er købt er gyldig i en hel uge …
Indeklimaet var stadig dårligt, og jeg påtalte det overfor billet-kontrolløren; han sagde, at han nok ville gå op og åbne et vindue. Vi kunne ikke konstatere, at der var nogen form for mekanisk ventilation i hele bygninge …
Alt i alt var det en meget lærerigt besøg.

Hermosa y diferente experiencia para vivir en Bariloche. Es una forma dinámica, entretenida y enriquecedora de aprender acerca de los pueblos originarios y la historia de la ciudad y nuestro país. La visita a la Catedral es increíble, seguro si estuviste ahí, no captaste ni la mitad de los mensajes escondidos que hay allí y que Diego nos enseña a descubrir. Párrafo aparte para Diego: guía "de los de antes", se percibe el oficio y el amor por lo que hace a cada momento. GRACIAS por tan hermosa experiencia

The history and politics of Patagonia's indigenous peoples is long and complicated. Diego's tour is very well researched and presented introduction to this subject. He provides a thoughtful overview of "peopling' of Patagonia first and foremost. Diego covers a lot of history from the Spanish conquest to the desert campaigns to modern society. It makes you think even if you are not prepared to face the subjects of colonization, institutionalized oppression, genocide, injustices and more. A must attend tour when visiting Nahuel Haupi. Enriching experience.

Good, much needed history tour of all the indigenous peoples of the area. You get to go into the nearby museum and also visit a local Mapuche textile shop.

Diego is an exceptional tour guide. He gave us an excellent tour in Bariloche learning about the Patagonia Indigenous Peoples. He explained everthing very well and provided super background materials and explanations. This was one of the best tours we have taken abroad. i would highly recommend his tour. We did a private tour and it was well worth the money!!
