The guide, Juan, was exceptional. He commented knowledgeably during the journey about the land and the places we visited in an entertaining way, speaking 50/50 Spanish and excellent English. He also made sure that the group were safe and properly looked-after during the stops that we made. The driver, Guille, put himself out to allow us an extra photo opportunity because of cloudy conditions earlier. Much appreciated!
We could have hired a car and made a similar journey ourselves more cheaply, but we are all the richer for taking this tour because of the huge amount of knowledge we were able to tap into via the guided experience.

A ida e volta de El Chalten, demora, por percurso, cerca de 2 horas! Durante a ida o guia Luis explicou bastante sobre a fauna e geologia locais, mostrando figuras no ipad. Chegando lá fazemos una trilha de cerca de 1-2h para o Mirante dos Condores (é um subidão), seguido de um almoço (já incluso) e depois uma trilha mais light de uns 15min no plano para uma cascata! Ao final dão cerca de 1h para dar uma volta nas lojinhas.

It was a beautiful day, strong sunshine, blue skies and no wind. The views of the incredible landscape were therefore the best they could possibly be. Our guide Gabriella was informative, friendly and efficient and at the helm of the super truck vehicle (which was actually very comfortable) was the capable driver Cesare. We were offered the option because of the weather to change to a longer self guided trek to Laguna Capri with a packed lunch and 4 hours to get there and back so we accepted the offer. So it was a bit more strenuous than I had expected but the view of the Laguna and Fitz Roy were well worth the climb and the drive. I also thought it was value for money compared to other companies I had considered.

La experiencia es buena, al principio el guía fue poco considerado y atento por considerarnos que iba un adulto mayor y no podría disfrutarse El Paso, después fue mejorando, sin embargo fue en el único tour con falta de empatía, todos los demás tours sin problemas…
El lugar es maravilloso, el conductor siempre atento a las necesidades de todos y muy amable.

Muchas gracias por dar tu opinion sobre el servicio, es muy importante para que podamos mejorar, te comento, los choferes y vehiculos siempre son internos a la empresa, al igual que la mayoria de los guias, aunque algunos dias para poder dar los feriados correspondientes cotratamos guias free lance, no se si sera el caso de este dia que comentas, para ello nos seria muy util que nos informes dia exacto en que realizaste la excursion para poder hacer la correccion, desde la empresa nos esmeramos para satisfacer a todos, abzolutamente a todos los pasajeros y mucho mas a los que hacen un esfuerzo adicional para poder venir a conocer, asi que no tengas duda de que haremos el reclamo interno, espero puedas darnos la fecha, un cordial saludo, nos entristece que no te hayas podido ir con la satisfaccion plensa

fue excelente el guia que conto toda la historia del senderismo , hicimos un recoorido por un sendero en a montaña y oto por una cascada , lego almorzamos en un restaurante en el pueblo y nos volvimos tipo 16 hs me hubiera encantado recorrer mas el pueblo que casi no lo vimos porque no dio el tiempo , creo que seria bueno quedarse una niche a dormir y no ir e mismo dia

Hermoso paisaje. Me resultó bastante fácil llegar a la laguna Capri y valió la pena.
El follaje en otoño es fascinante y la paz que se respira al llegar al lugar es relajante. Me tocó un día soleado y aunque al llegar cerca del Fitz Roy se nubló, igualmente se veía imponente.

It's a long journey with a couple of amazing sights. The view of the Andes was spectacular and the water fall was also very interesting. Seeing a condor soaring was special. The lunch was very good. The guide was pleasant and very informative. The problem with this tour is that it's a lot of time on the bus and then two hours in El Chalten to walk around. I would have preferred more natural sights.

Una vez al año te toca un día mágico en el que no hay ni una nube, puro sol y vez a El Chalten en todo su esplendor. Ese día nos tocó a nosotros. La caminata no es tan soft, vas en subida, llevá agua y algo para usar de bastón porque ayuda si no estás acostumbrado al trekking (yo). El paisaje es increíble y te podés quedar algunos días para recorrer tranquilo. Las empresas de turismo no ofrecen ni un vaso de agua, no sé si es por protocolo Covid o por amarretes, ni siquiera venden. Insisto, no te olvides del agua. En el pueblo hay una sola heladería, probá el gusto del fruto de El Calafate, no hay en otro lugar del mundo.

The landscapes were amazing on this trip as was the wildlife (we saw many guanaco, a Patagonian trout, and an Andean Condor).
Our guide, Franco, was extremely cool…knowledgeable about the area, wildlife , etc… plus he entertained us with his guitar and kazoo! I highly recommend!
The hikes were very short and manageable though strenuous. The sun was extremely strong so definitely pack sunscreen. I would pack an extra water bottle too.

Hola, podría hacer la excursión estando embarazada de 4 meses? Camino bastante y subo escaleras sin dificultad, pero no sé que tan exigentes sean los trekings incluidos en la excursión...

La actividad fuerte es una sola se suben 100 mts por una senda de montaña en una hora o menos, yo con sobrepeso y siendo fumador llegue a la mitad, también depende del ritmo de tu grupo, con paradas mas largas hubiera llegado, pero ellos ya estarían bajando, salvo eso la excursión es muy buena, los paisajes, el pueblo del Chalten, el almuerzo y la última actividad es una caminata plana a una cascada hermosa, animate porque vale la pena.

Has anyone taken this trip? There are no reviews. I want views of Fitz Roy without having to "work for them" (i.e., no strenuous hiking). Is this possible? Would they pick me up at my hostel in El Calafate?
