Dear CANJTN, Nouméa waters are very shallow so due to the massive size of vessels, cruise ships have to dock at the unglamorous containers area, opposite the Nickel Mining factory. The Cruise ship has free shuttles every 10 minutes that drops people back and forth at Nouméa Cruise Ship Terminal which is located 10 minutes away, walking distance from the WW2 Museum. Please come half an hour before so you can catch the train on time, show your printed voucher to the LYVAI staff inside Nouméa Cruise Ship Terminal in order to scan the QR code. The Hop-On Hop-Off bus offers a service that runs every 25 minutes, all day, and this makes it easy for passengers to check out 6 locations around Nouméa at their own pace. These destinations include Nouméa's morning market, the Port-Plaisance shopping mall, Lemon beach, Anse Vata bay, Nouméa's Aquarium and the Melanesian Museum. We got off the ship and walked right out to the train - the ticket window is inside the building you must exit through to get to the train. So we had no shuttle to worry about, can’t help you with that. You must get back on the train after each stop but there was ample time at each stop. Enjoy!

For afternoon ship arrivals we operate until 8. pm. - The GREEN TRAIN ride is a 90 minute enjoyable and informative guided tour that offers an opportunity to see Nouméa city and get a sense of it's history. The tour stops at two destinations - the Chateau Hagen, one of Noumea's oldest mansion and part of town's colonial heritage and the Ouen Toro lookout which has a stunning view over the Pacific Ocean and the Lagoon.
