Sea turtles with a great organisation. Don't miss this on your trip to Indonesia/Java!
We booked this trip just two days in advance. The communication went exceptionally smooth, and everything was taken care of. We were picked up by our hotel, had a nice brunch of homegrown dragon fruits and other fruits with tea and great conversations with the organisor (Java) and our excellent guide (Sukri). Then we drove (with a stop for very nice lunch) to the forest. The guide told us about everything he saw and knew and answered all of our complicated questions. We saw the forest with many animals and the very interesting sea turtle sanctuary. In the evening we found a hatching sea turtle. The next morning we freed some of the baby sea turtles on their way to sea, and even visited a very memorable beach.
The accomodation in the jungle was simple (as you would expect), but decent (there even was wifi). The food on the whole trip was great and the whole trip was the best memory of my vacation.

That was amazing moment we had during a tour to Sukamade. Totally full of adventures got through the river with brownie water because raining on the day before, through the jungle and met local people along the trip. We were lucky met a turtle (Green turtle) at night and on the nex day we did release turtle babies on the beach. All activities were good.
Talking about the company, we appreciate to Yoga which had organized tour very good. Supri as our guide also perfect in share information a lot, his knowledge about this place very good - he knew well every people we met. This company is highly recommended to everyone if you want to go for turtle tour as we experienced with.

Incredible expérience : everything was well explained and well organisée, we were really active in the activity and were lucky enough to see a turtle laying eggs in the evening! It's such a unique experience, which we highly recommend. We found it good that the price of the entrance to the park was included in it. Our guide Supriyodi and our driver Anshory were amazing, interesting and caring. The related activities we did (visit the plantations, the Red Beach...) were just as exciting, and the journey to thé beach is super beautiful. The organizers were responsive to our requests (they prepared an extra breakfast for us the first morning) and even helped us for the rest of our trip! We really recommend this agency and these wonderful people who accompanied us.

There was amazing trip with Agus as our guide visited Sukamade and lucky to have him a long the trip. It was a little sad that we couldn't see a turtle at night as the guide said that there was a full moon so the turtle won't came ashore but everything was good. All those had been paid on the next day morning that we involved in releasing young turtle on the beach. Good agency, and amazing trip. Thank you!

And hereby the journey to Sukamade Beach 25 Jan 2020. With the Jeep from Banyuwangi. Nice driver Robit and guide Yoga Sandhitya. Turtles viewed at night that come ashore once in 25 years to lay eggs. You will be guided by rangers and therefore it will be a very respectful experience. Very quiet without light from flashlights (the rangers had infrared light) you can see this impressive and very emotional natural event. The next day you go back to the beach to deport young turtles and then you bury the eggs that were collected yesterday at the location so that they are "hatched" there. The eggs are collected because otherwise they are eaten by gulls and wild pigs. All this to prevent extinction.

East Java paradise travel is a good tour organizer we had along joining sukamade tour. The tour operator and the team either were so kind and superb well prepared to organize the tour. Sukamade is located on the remote area which are there no internet, wifi or phone signal. It is totally remote and hide away from the crowd. But it is not the reason you shouldn't come here.
Through the National Park forest with rocky terrain, river and local village, old rubber factory, cocoa plantation are good experiences for us. Enjoy the trip and witness the giant leatherback turtle lays their eggs at night and releasing turtle babies in early morning. The accomodation was so basic but it was clean and comfy. The food was good and dominantly indonesian food e.g soup and fried rice or noodle. Everything was good and the tour was so satisfaction.
My apreciation to this travel agency and team they did the best thing along the tour.
For you guys if you love adventure and want to visit Sukamade, book with them as we proud of their services.

Yoga and Robert took very good care of us from go to wo. These guys conducted themselves very professionally, yet we managed to have quite a few Aussie style pisstakes and laughs along the way too. Yoga is very informative and just a genuine do the right thing good dude. Robert did not rush the driving at all and we felt very safe at all times on the trip both in traffic and the rough stuff.
These guys did everything they could to help us out even down to helping make sure we got to our train on time, even though we'd accidently booked bunyuwangi station not realising it was an extra 2.5hours away from where we thought oops! We highly reccomend for a great trip where you can relax and soak it all up knowing you'll be well looked after. 5 stars!!
