Wij vonden het een leuke ervaring maar hadden er meer van verwacht. We moesten erg lang wachten. We dachten dat dit wel de moeite waard was omdat we overal gezien hadden dat de tour ongeveer anderhalf uur zou duren. Niets was minder waar. We hebben nog geen 40 minuten op het water gezeten. Uiteindelijk dus langer gewacht dan de daadwerkelijke tour duurde. Helaas was het water niet zo helder blauw als we op de foto's gezien hadden, zij gaven aan dat dit kwam omdat wij er in het regenseizoen naartoe zijn gegaan. Ik zou dus zeker aanraden dit in de zomer te doen. De andere tourguides waren uitbundig aan het vertellen over de omgeving, die van ons helaas niet. Hij was erg vriendelijk maar vertelde niets over de natuur of geschiedenis hiervan. Het kostte $38 per persoon. Voor ons was het dit niet helemaal waard maar ik denk dat als we in de zomer geweest waren en een andere tourguide hadden gehad dit het waarschijnlijk wel was. Er zijn leuke souvenirs te koop.

This tour was not done buy Thelga's. Totally unaware of this tour. May have been bought with another company. We never had this booking.

Nous avons utilisé les tours Nexus associés à Sunwing pour cette excursion de rafting sur la rivière. L’autobus promis à 9h45 AM est arrivé avec 30 minutes de retard tout probablement parce qu’il doit s’arrêter à chacun des hôtels où des clients sont inscrits. À part un retour au Hyatt où les clients avaient été oubliés, le trajet s’est bien déroulé. Nous avons suivi la rivière par la route et atteint le point de départ en amont. On y trouve des bâtiments dont deux boutiques, toilettes, un jardin des herbes, et un bar où un breuvage non-alcoolisé est offert ou de la bière pour un montant. Notre chauffeur est bien attentif et il nous porte les bouées de sauvetage et nous descendons à la queue-leu-leu. Chacun enjambe pour s’embarquer sur le radeau avec le rameur. La descente est plus rapide en amont où la rivière est plus étroite. L’activité, même en journée nuageuse, est très agréable et la descente prend une petite heure. Notre guide nous éduque sur la flore dont les bananiers, les fleurs, les arbres et oiseaux et le dialogue avec le guide porte sur son village de Martha Brae et sa vie en Jamaïque. Le paysage dans le feuillage et l’eau est féerique et quelques percée de soleil alors que la rivière s’élargit et son débit ralentit. Un arrêt du Tarzan line peut être un arrêt où certains arrêtent se baigner et utiliser un zip line, ce qui ne s’est pas produit ce jour-là. Certains guides ont un sac avec des noix de coco sculptées et sont proposées en vente comme des oeuvres soi disant personnelles. L’arrivée se fait en douceur à la station finale où une photo du couple est proposée ainsi que des breuvages à vendre. Le chauffeur nous reprend en charge et nous retourne à l’hôtel. Une belle activité relaxe et enchanteresse que tous apprécieront.

The trip on the raft was relaxing and enjoyable. The raft captain was skilled and charming.
However, the long wait to start spoiled the outing, as we stood around in the hot sun with biting mosquitoes while the passengers from cruise ships were given precedence over us. The five or ten minutes our driver said we would have to wait stretched to well over and hour, for me, my husband and a family with 3 young kids. The lady in the office was unfriendly and impolite. Not recommended for seniors like us or young children if you have to wait longer than 10/15 minutes.

We Have no record of this tour been contracted by us. Pretty much sounds as if a error in the name of the Tour company. Can we get the date this tour was done? so we can further verify this information.
Our drivers are usually on location and can use the facility of the vehicle in such a case where they in discomfort.

This was a lovely ride down the river and our raft captain, Trevor, was delightful. However, the literature stated that it included a visit to Miss Martha's herb garden, which wasn't offered to us. Also, the price of $65 for 2 adults seemed expensive for this attraction. Although we enjoyed it, I wouldn't put it high on your list of "must do's".

There is a error in the name of the tour company who offered this tour. This is not a tour offered by Thelga's Tour. We do not supply this tour to any client since more than a year. This review also only speaks of the tour activity and not about The Tour provider activities as a company.
It would be nice if customer make correction to this review and acknowledge error.
