This was an absolutely AWESOME tour!! Donna was our tour guide and she is simply amazing! She is so kind and knowledgeable! We all learned so much and saw amazing sites! The time just flew by! I loved everything about the tour! The place is very easy to find. There are 2 bathroom stops during the tour (not at the beginning). Walking through a slot canyon was on my bucket list. One of my favorite tours ever!

For the late Spring and Summer months, I would advise taking the morning tour. We took the later tour and it made the tour a bit uncomfortable due to the sun and the heat.
The tour was great. It was very educational, to say the least. Learning new things is always amazing, but being able to be upfront and personal is a whole other thing.
Our guide, Butch, was personal as well as extremely knowledgeable. He was able to shed light on a lot of things that we would otherwise never know or experience.

Money well spent! Was one of the highlights of our trip to Palm Springs area. Our guide was knowledgeable, prepared and fun! The jeeps are covered to provide sun protection. Jeeps are shared with other participants-6 in back and 1 in passenger seat in front. Great time! Highly recommend.

We had an awesome experience on our jeep tour of the San Andreas Fault. Our guide, Darrell, was personable, so knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. The views were incredible and we learned so much about the area, the geology, the history, and the Cahuilla Indians who lived along the fault zone. It's a one of kind experience and such a great tour - we highly recommend it!

Excellent guide, Ryan, was knowledgable and engaging. He handled a 4-year old (adorable) and us (in our seventies and not as cute) equally well. The beauty of the desert was greatly enhanced by his explanations. Tour was well paced. A great experience even in the summer heat.

My husband planned a private Red Jeep Tour during our recent vacay in Palm Desert. We have visited this area many times through the years and were looking for something different and fun. He chose the Red Jeep San Andreas Fault morning tour. Our guide, Darrell, met us at our hotel and was prompt and greeted us with a warm smile. He picked us up in a red, open air CJ-8 Jeep Scrambler and it was awesome! We jumped in the back and off we went to Coachella Valley to explore the fault and surrounding area. Darrell was very knowledgeable about the history of the valley and how the North American and Pacific tectonic plates meet and form this beautiful desert. Darrell talked about the Cahuilla People and how they lived and thrived. He also talked about the different rock formations and different plants, animals and reptiles in the region. The entire tour was super fun as well as enlightening. We LOVED every minute! Darrell also helped us with info on local hiking we were planning during our vacay and he recommended Indian Canyons and Tahquitz Falls. Both areas equally stunning with palm tree groves, flowing water and raging water fall. Thank you Darrell and Red Jeep Tours. We can't wait to take another tour during our next visit.

It was a awesome experience, driver very knowledgeable. Took awesome pictures which without the Jeep would of never been taken.
Unfortunately, we book on a very windy day. So check weather before you book.

What an absolute treat this tour was. Worth every penny and more. Once you’re settled there are zero worries about safety and comfort. The ride is equipped with extra sunscreen, cold waters, and shade for all, but come prepared as the desert sun is no joke.
Cannot speak highly enough of Travis. He truly was an excellent guide who effortlessly brought knowledge and humour to our tour. Note to all: a great guide makes all the difference, and Red Jeep knows what they’re doing by having Travis on board. Travis even acquainted us with must-sees in the area, as well as some kick ass Mexican food recommendations ((we ended up at Salsas in Cathedral City :) ))
You’re missing out if this trip is not on your itinerary !!!

What or how bad is the dust during the jeep ride?
Do passengers wear face coving because or possibly because of the dust?

It should not be hot. Evening will be cold so please keep jacket with you.
It may comes up same or cheap by doing private tour if you are 4 . We did it private.

Due to covid restrictions, all jeep tours are private. Prior to Covid, individual seats were sold for public tours but not now to keep guests and staff safe.

Hi,
I am travelling alone and am interested in doing the tour. I’m also on crutches and tall - is there likely to be good leg room (I need to stretch my right leg out) and is it a bumpy ride?

It is bumpy at times. If the tour Is full then there isn’t much leg room at all. I think it would only work for you if there is an empty spot across from you. Depending on how long your legs are that might not even be enough. You also have to climb up into and out of the back of the Jeep. Not step in like a regular passenger SUV. They do have a step stool but I don’t know if you could manage it if you can’t put weight on one leg.my husband who is 6 feet tall found the leg room tight. We had the full complement of six passengers in the back.
