We had an amazing half day climbing with Jay. He was communicative leading up to our trip, told us exactly where we could meet him and was there waiting for us when we arrived.
We are both newer to climbing (right around 40yo and very active), and he found the perfect climbs for us to warm up, and be challenged.
The best part for me was that Jay knew exactly when to push us a little harder and not let us give up when we couldn’t see the next steps. I would absolutely recommend climbing with Mojave Guides, and Jay.

Mason was an excellent guide! He adapted climbs and coaching according to our skill levels and age, 8-54. We would highly recommend this experience.

My wife and I are so glad we did this! We’re both in our mid-60s and in good shape. We had a blast. Our guide Mason was outstanding - knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. He well explained everything and allowed us to proceed at our own pace. We enjoyed every minute of the experience. It was well worth the cost. We heartily recommend it!

This was certainly one of the best experiences in my life. A mixture of fun, fear, adrenaline and fulfillment. Don’t need to be pro to do this!
Murph was the best guide and teacher we could ask for and made the whole thing super fun, even though me and my partner are terrified of heights. Defiantly recommend this experience (if you can book with him, I highly recommend it). if you wanna try rock climbing, specially in Joshua Tree, this is the place!

Our guide, Murph, was knowledgeable, safe and awesome. Our 3 boys, 13 , 10 and 7 have little to no climbing experience. He encouraged them to go as far as they wanted to and keep it fun. Kids left the day saying it was the favorite part of the trip! Would highly recommend Mojave Guides!

Mojave Guides ensured we had an excellent day in Joshua Tree. Seth was enormously helpful on the phone before we booked in regard to safety and how our 9 year old would manage the climbs. And our guide on the day, Luis, was exceptional - calm, confident, patient and also good fun. Thanks Mojave Guides - we will be back!

Murphy was an amazing guide! We all had a blast (2 middle aged adults and a 9 year old). We learned a lot and always felt safe. We all made it to the top!

We spent a private full day with Matt and it was everything we could have hoped for. Our son is a budding climber and Matt was able to provide him with many learning opportunities as well as challenging climbs while also allowing my husband and I and our adult daughter excellent beginner options as well. We all did some rock climbing, balaying and repelling. When we needed a break from climbing he took us on a super adventurous tour of a chasm which was both amazing and challenging. He directed our son to a terrific traverse bouldering problem that we ended up revisiting multiple times in the following days until he was able to accomplish it. All in all well worth it! We all felt safe the entire time. Highly recommend even if you’ve never set foot on a rock!

We all had a blast. They were able to tailor our trip for a 6 yr old to a 65 yr old and everything in between. Our guide, Murphy, was skilled, encouraging, fun and great with kids. Booking online was simple, they were understandable when I had to change the number of climbers last minute, and the price was competitive. Thanks for the great adventure!
