These guys have no idea at all. Travelled from Australia and instructions were to ring when out of customs- My Daughter and her friend followed instructions and rang - only to be told that the guy had left- Plane got in at 9am the guy was there at 9.05am waited and then left. They think it takes 10 minutes to get through customs- NO IDEA.
My daughter and her friend were left stranded - when i phoned the company they didn't care at all- and said they will have to make their own arrangements - absolute scam - take your money and don't give a rats. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS - UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE STRANDED.

We were supposed to be picked up at 4pm which I had confirmed several hours prior. Didn't show up. It took me 4 phone calls to finally have the ride show up over an hour late. Grease under the front seat then ruined a pair of new shoes.
Incompetent customer service and a very poor experience. Much better and cheaper to get a taxi. Avoid this business.

Attention all!! Booked way in advanced Limo transfer for my VIP clients. Reconfirmed 3 days prior. Reconfirmed again 1 day prior. Called and Reconfirmed on Pick up day.
3 hours prior to client landing in LAX they sent email saying sorry we have to cancel. Avoid this provider at all costs!!!!! Most unreliable limo service ever.

So bummed. I first used this service in January and it was excellent.
Now used it again yesterday and it was terrible, just as so many other reviews stated. No contact from driver, so I reached out to Carmel once I retrieved my luggage. Was on hold for ten minutes while they tried to contact the driver. Then got disconnected. Called again, back on hold, find out they can’t reach the driver. So I had to find other transportation which at LAX requires taking a shuttle to the ride share lot or taking a shuttle to the taxi area. LAX transportation is the worst and it’s extremely frustrating if you plan ahead to avoid that nightmare and then stand around for 20 minutes on the phone just to then having to face the nightmare after all.
With a 50% success rate, I really can’t recommend them any longer.

I wish I had seen these reviews before I booked. STAY AWAY! They left me stranded at LAX -- let me know as my flight was landing (even though I booked months in advance). Save yourself the aggravation and book elsewhere!

Horrible customer service. Left me stranded at LAX …. Manager gave no apology, no nothing. Explanation given is they contract work so not their fault. Will never use them again!

My flight was delayed and they charge me and say it was a no show when my flight was still on the air!!! Worst private transport experience!!!!!

Horrible Customer Care! Avoid! I had a great driver from them in Nashville, but on my return home to Los Angeles on May 21, 2021 the situation ended up awful. One expects a nice car, a town car, or perhaps an SUV with a name like "Carmel Car and Limousine Service". I was very tired, and if in my right mind I would have refused the old model, beaten up White Chevy Malibu, no AC, with a cooler on the passenger seat and the driver in used sport's clothes who showed up and called out my name. The driver was very nice, his ride, was not. It appears he was doing a favor for someone else. That someone else who drove an Escalade. Who was supposed to pick me up and drive me home. If I wanted a Lyft I would have paid the $40+ fpr a Lyft and gotten a better car. As it was I paid $85 for a beat up older white Chevy Malibu with no AC! I called immediately when I arrived home and Carmel promised to get back to me. They did not. Until much later, an email where I stated all the above. Their Customer Service doesn't care. After nearly a month they eventually offered me an INSULTING $8 credit for a future ride, as IF I would give them a second chance. No thank you! I have put in a dispute with my credit card company regarding the charge. They DID NOT fulfil their contractual obligation to provide a nice car or limousine as advertised. They avoid coming to a equitible settlement. They IGNORE former unhappy customers! Just Avoid these folks!

I wish I had looked at these few bad reviews before booking with these jokers!! Trying to get my money back with Expedia. They rang me on the plane twice and TOLD me they were sending the cab to pick us up but didn't tell us it takes an hour and a half to get through customs!! This happens all the time in LA airport apparently so they were well aware!! Trying to ring them back on the number they rang me on was registered to ISRAEL!! Cost me a fortune only for a very rude man to tell me they had sent the car and left as couldn't wait!!! Surely they should have told me to ring after we had cleared passport/customs? He was very nasty on the phone and hung up on me!!!
Get the bus down to main bit where taxis are!! And a lot cheaper than this CRAP CRAP company!!!!

Booked Carmel Car & Limo through Expedia for a round trip from LAX to our hotel in Agoura Hills. Cost was $177.12. Fee included except for extra baggage or tolls. Tip at the passenger’s discretion. A nice driver named Vlad, picked us up on time at Lax. He texted to let us know he was outside and where to meet him. He helped us with our bags into a nice clean car. The ride to the hotel was nice and smooth and took about 50 minutes.
When we arrived at our hotel, Vlad informed us that he had to collect a $24 fee. When asked what the fee was for, he said he did not know. His boss had told him to collect it. I asked to speak to him and he put him on the phone. At first his boss could not tell me what the fee was for, as I explained that all fees were included, and we did not have any extra baggage or pass through any toll roads. He then said it was an airport fee. I asked him for a receipt and he said he would email one to me.
I contacted Expedia and let them know what had happened. They said to send them the receipt when I got it from Carmel.
Over 2 weeks later, after several texts, emails and phone calls, I finally got an email from Carmel. There was no receipt for an airport fee. They apologized for the inconvenience and sent me a check for $25.
Obviously this is a scam to get money from unsuspecting customers who are tired from a long flight or maybe don’t speak English. I will never use this company again.
I did inform Expedia about the $25 refund, but so far no reply.
