My hiking group loves wine, so this was the perfect outing for us! Stephanie was a great guide. She was funny, knowledgeable and she offered to take pictures of us throughout the two mile hike. The grounds are amazingly beautiful and we saw lots of adorable animals including a 5 week old miniature mule! If you take the safari, you are drinking wine throughout the excursion, but we learned that for the hike you get a glass of mulled wine (or frose in the summer) midway through, then your choice of two of their cans at the end of the tour to take home. At first we did not love this but as we hiked, we realize they know what they are doing. Actively hiking and drinking all the way is probably a bad combo.
The hike is easy to moderate and we stopped many times to see the animals and take pictures. It was a wonderful way to spend a few hours with friends!

Take the Malibu wine hike if you can when visiting the area. We did the hike with our guide Stephanie and it was a great experience. Stephanie was energetic, fun, knowledgable and made our time on the Saddle Rock vineyard a memorable one. It was a cool and cloudy day and we took a break on the covered tasting patio just as the rain started with some delicious mulled wine. Couldn't have timed it better! You will see native american pictographs, llamas, horses, gardens, orchards, sweeping vistas and amazing rock formations as you walk through the vines and learn about the resiliency of the land after wildfires ripped through the area years past. We ended the hike with some wine to enjoy on site or take home and they were delicious. All in all it was a great time and will be doing it again soon! Thank you Stephanie!

Great fun and good exercise! P.R., our guide was fabulous. He was so knowledgeable about all the different aspects of the area...and funny too! Definitely recommend this one to anyone looking for a different hiking experience.

What a diverse experience. Our host/ranch guide Mitch was fantastic. He provided us with lots of info about the ranch, various plantations, the animals, cave paintings and general history about the area and the property. It was one of the more unique wine experiences I have been on. The walk/hike which is about 4km is very manageable (some ups and downs) but being able to experience all the variety of the property was a highlight. It is quite a distance out of town so having a car is a must but also well worth it as Mitch provided us with a few cool restaurants and other sights to visit. Fall is also a great time to visit!

I have been on this wine tour twice now, once with four other friends and this second time I planned it as part of a bachelorette weekend! There were 11 of us total so we got the 5 person ATV and the 7 person ATV. The team at Malibu Wine Tours went above and beyond to make this an amazing experience for our group. They were constantly making sure we were getting the best photos, making sure our cups were never empty, and just overall making the experience so memorable for the bride to be. I was so happy with our experience and will definitely be coming back again in the future!

This was the 2nd time I did the wine hike and it was just as beautiful as the first time. It awsome to walk through the vineyards and to see the rolling hills of all the vines. The 1st time the grapes were all green and it was neat to see them ripe and ready to harvest. I would highly recommend this tour with your family and friends! My friends are from Florida and they thoroughly enjoyed the hike.

We had a nice hike over the beautiful grounds. Our tour guide PR was very good, he knew all the details/history/critters names etc. I was very interested in seeing the Chumash pictographs and we saw them close up. It's an easy hike - don't be afraid of it. But I feel you see much more on your own two feet!

This was such a fun experience with my wife and I! We lucked out with Hope being our guide. She was great! Friendly, knowledgeable and so much fun. The property was so beautiful! We will definitely be coming back and would definitely recommend this experience to anyone.

Let me start by saying that the drive through the mountains to get to the vineyard was fantastic. Once we arrived, we were greeted by the best staff ever!! Then we were guided by Maddie 😊 Her knowledge of the grounds and her passion along the tour made this entire trip worthwhile.
The views along the hike, the grape tastings, the wine tasting, and the overall ground’s history shocked and delighted us. Thank you all very much for making this an anniversary to remember for ages.
PS, I must also add that Thankfully the weather was in our favor along the trail.

I agree with the previous messages. A 10 year old would be fine, with understanding it is a controlled hike- with interesting animals and gorgeous views.
