We took a 3.5 hours afternoon boat tour and highly recommend it! Our captain Dan is very knowledgable and personable. we learned so much on the tour. I'm an amateur photographer and had a blast seeing pelicans, ibises, herons, and even a magnificent frigatebird! I'll have to come back.

Not what we were expecting. For one thing, we didn’t know that it was salt water. The tour is way overpriced at $120 per person. The things we were expecting to see in the Everglades is not what we saw. Our guide gave us some history of the area and the rating is not because of him. If the time of the year or the time of the day is the reason for not seeing more wild life then you shouldn’t sell tickets for those times. We did have a good show with the Dolphins but again not worth the price. We’ve already seen lots of dolphins.

We are sorry that you were disappointed. We can only encounter the wildlife that is there during the very short time that you are in the wilderness. The wildlife is just that, "wild". They all have fins, feathers or feet and move at their leisure and whims. While we have a very good idea where to encounter them, it truly is up to the wildlife. This is a DOLPHIN, Birding and Wildlife Tour. Dolphins live in saltwater..
We do not know what you were expecting, but we always suggest the Everglades National Park Expedition. it is 3.5 hours in duration. Being longer, there are potentially more opportunities for wildlife encounters.
Perhaps next time, you would enjoy/prefer the Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Eco Tour or the Guided Swamp Walk. These are entirely different experiences, conducted in entirely different ecosystems and even conducted in different Everglades Parks..
Glad that you enjoyed the dolphins. Personally, I never tire of watching them. They are awesome!

Our boat tour in the Everglades National Park was very interesting, beautiful and educational. Our Captain was great and it was a very enjoyable 2 hours.

Sorry that you were disappointed and booked the wrong tour. There are seven distinct ecosystems in the Everglades and there is an overlap of many species. However, Dolphins and Alligators do not co-exist. On this tour, we do not (normally) encounter alligators ... particularly in the winter.
We do see alligators on the Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Eco Tour and the Alligators and Orchids Kayak Eco Tour

The town is quiet and chill. We saw a lot of dolphins within our tour. Recommended! The sub nearby is delicious as well!

The brilliant, very friendly guide Don McCumber took our small group on a small motorboat to various islands in the bay and explained a lot. On one of the small islands I was able to take beautiful photos of the pelicans with the telephoto lens from the boat, which was wonderful, an impressive experience.

There are so many animals to see in the Everglades, it's great to capture some in photos and get to see them again later, great memories. That's also great you got to see some of the 10,000 islands, they're quite impressive, and Don is a great guide. Thank you so much for the review and for choosing to tour with us.

Best experience with local guide. You see all the variety of wildlife. The boat trip is super cool and safe also. Our guide's knowledge and experience about weather and navigating the around was spectacular. Definitely dodge the tourist areas (e.g. Everglades park) and go for this tour.

The captain was ill and instead of canceling the tour, we went with Marco Island Tours for two hours in the Ten Thousand Island area. I suppose we could have canceled and received a refund, but we had been in the Everglades the day before, and the islands were an area we had not explored. The tour was quite good! We saw dolphins and many birds and went shelling on a small island. Very enjoyable!
Had we not already been in the Everglades, I would have been disappointed, but it is to the operator's credit that he made alternate arrangements when he became ill.

We had an outstanding tour with Captain Kevin. He was very interesting and knowledgeable. He stopped often to allow us plenty of time to get good pictures.
