My husband and I are new residents to Florida & are always looking for new outdoor adventures to try. Knowing that we were moving to Florida, my son gifted us a gift certifiate for Christmas. This was the perfect gift ----This kayaking eco tour is a MUST!
Booking and paying were easy on the website. The website provided clear and comprehensive instructions as to what to expect, what to bring and where to park. There is a $7 per person fee to enter the park area, but that was outlined in the instructions.
Our guide, Sam, was delightful, friendly and very knowedgeable. He quickly gauged the kayaking skills levels of our group and lead us on a fun, unexpected adventure beyond just paddling. Sam took us to a hidden cove where we got out of our kayaks and "hiked" through the crystal clear water on the sandy bottemed river bed to a gorgous picturesque area. The "hike" involved waist-high water and navagating some downed trees...but OH!!! so worth it.
After padding further up the river, we enjoyed a lovely, relaxing float back to the park. The weather was absolutely perfect.
Recommend taking the early tour - less crowded and better parking.
Be sure to use sunscreen and bug spray.
Bring sunglasses and you are allowed to bring a water thermas (no cans or plastic bottles).
We highly recommend this experience. A huge THANKS to Sam - you were amazing.

Thank you Sam for all your patience. We had a blast and enjoyed the Beautiful view and relax kayaking…. Sam was great teaching us … all my family enjoyed the experience.

This tour was a great introduction to kayaking since my husband and I had not kayaked before. Rainbow Springs is beautiful and unspoiled. The water is crystal clear, which surprised me for a River. The river was pretty busy the day we visited — lots of kayakers, tubers and even divers. Our guide, Bry, was terrific. She was enthusiastic and helpful and very supportive to first-timers. You start out heading against the current and head into the springs area where you can get out of the kayak and walk on the Sandy bottom. The water is always a constant 72 degrees—welcome on a hot day! I know the company has their fleet of clear-bottom kayaks but I think for this tour you probably don’t need them. You are not going to see manatees or exotic fish below your boat. The paddle up and back is definitely worth it though. Bry even shared the photos that she took on her phone with all the participants. Recommend this tour if you are in the area. Afterward, head to Swampy’s for some food and great river views!

This tour was a great experience! My family and I enjoyed it so much. The only thing was that we hoped to see more but there wasn’t enough time to see most of the river. But overall it was great !!

Sam was our guide and he was very knowledgable and thoughtful. The river was crystal clear and we saw tons of fish! Great experience.
Pro tip: arrive early! Research parking situation of the park you are going to, we had no knowledge and had to improvise.

Sam our tour guide was informative about the river and guided us with his experience and knowledge. He interacted with each member of our family and took pictures of our day. We highly recommend this tour for a wonderful experience!!

Loved this! Definitely my favourite thing to do this holiday. Sam, our tour guide was brilliant - incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and the area, personable and fun. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone visiting this area - we travelled 100 miles to get here and it was so worth it! What a stunning area to visit with such an excellent guide! We’ll definitely be back!

It was a 2-hour tour, and depending on who was on tour; it might go a little bit over. I would honestly, if it were shorter, it would work for the 5 & 6. However, I was exhausted once we returned so I can't imagine for little ones. If this is your first time and you know nothing about kayaking, try without the kiddos first.

I reserved canoes for my sister and I back in March she was in from out of town and when we got there there was a cold front that moved in so we decided we didn’t wanna go because it was so cold I should have a credit there for two people that I didn’t use can you check into that for me please I’ve written and called several times and I’m not getting any reply ever from anyone so I’m trying this.
