We moved to the area about two years ago and wanted to find a way for us and our out of town visitors learn a lot about St. Augustine in a short amount of time. Yesterday we used Explore tours for the third time - each one of which was a great experience, and each one of which was a little different. Andy was our guide this time, and he did a terrific job with lots of historical facts and stories as we toured various parts of town.

We booked a private 1-hr historical tour yesterday and it was wonderful! There were 7 of us (5 adults, 2 kids), plus my parents’ dog that was welcomed with open arms :) We loved that the cart had doors, which helped keep kids and dogs inside, plus blocked some of the chilly wind. Karen, our guide, was awesome! She was so knowledgeable and fun. We didn’t want it to be over after an hour, but we also felt like we had a great overview of the city after such a well-designed tour. My only suggestion would be to offer a 1.5 hour tour, because we would have enjoyed learning even more.

Brit was a wonderful guide who knows her stuff!! Enjoyed this tour of Saint Augustine. We have elderly parents, so this was a great way to view the sites.

We had a great time. Our tour guide was great and knew a ton about the history of the area. I would definitely recommend booking with this company.

Karen was fantastic! She was beyond knowledgeable and had great insight about St. Augustine. She was super friendly and did well to peak the interests of the little guy with us. We would highly recommend a tour with Karen!

Andy was our guide and he was fantastic. He was very informative, pleasant and kept us laughing the whole time. He was very mindful of our time and ensured that we were able to get the most out of our tour. I would definitely go on another tour the next time I am in St. Augustine.

My husband and I took the private tour with Karen and it was worth every penny. We learned so much about the origins of St. Augustine and how it has grown and changed hands over the years. Karen was a true historian with detailed facts, dates and insights. A great storyteller that kept us thoroughly engaged. Truly a gem. Looking forward to returning and walking around with all the knowledge we now have!! Great job Karen!!

We throughly enjoyed our historic tour of St Augustine! Our guide was so knowledgeable, friendly, and a true lover of history. He said he was a retired history teacher. There was one other couple on our tour so it felt very personalized. Also, so nice that he picked us up at our inn and dropped us off at our next location. I would highly recommend! It was a great way to see St Augustine.

Not during the tour but you can easily walk back to the areas afterwards.

This TripAdvisor page says that the 1HR private tour is "$180 per person", but your official website says that the private event cost is $180 per cart (up to 10 adults). Hopefully the per-cart rate is the correct one... $180 per person for an hour seems crazy!

I had the same question. I emailed the company. It's $180 per cart. You just book the cart; no need to add passengers.
