We did a 8-day Machame route to Mt Kilimanjaro in July 2023 with African Love Birds Adventure, in a group of about 30. It was a great experience. The team of guides porters and cooks was just superb, very helpful and courteous. The guides nudged, supported and encouraged in right measure and many of us felt we couldn’t have made it without their help. If you are considering doing the Kilimanjaro trek, don’t hesitate to go with ALB.

Excellent Kilimanjaro Trek

We did the 8 day machame route. We were 29 of us, but African love birds handled us very smoothly. The arrangements for stay and food were very good. Our guides were experienced, my guide Juma was doing his 50th summit and he was excellent.

6 days Machame route - Kilimanjaro climb

We spent 6 incredible days on the mountain. Climbing the Kilimanjaro to the Uhuru peak (5885asml) is a dream come true!
African love birds team, was completely amazing, We loved them from day one yo day six!
Food, tents, camps were set always ahead of us. They helped us throughout the toughest moments on the mountain, and were key to our success.
The landscapes are stunning, from the jungle at the base to the glaciars at the summit, every bit of it was enjoyable.
Aloyce was great at making teams and setting me with a fantastic group of Spaniards that made my trip so special. Team work and team support are important to achieve this lovely but challenging mountain.
The hike itself is not a complicated one, but altitude acclimatization is important!

Everything was perfect

Thanks to this great team who supported us, encouraged us and made us laugh during 1 week. The porters were infinitely kind and the cook is a real chef. Everything was perfect! I recommend 300%. Go there with your eyes closed, you will live an extraordinary experience that you will never forget 🤩🏔

Where to start!? I will remember my time with African Love Birds forever, they made my trip memorable from start to finish. They make the process really simple and straight forward. You can depend on these guides, porters, and cooks to get you to the summit of Kilimanjaro 100%. I can say I would most likely would not have made it without the help of my guides. They push you when you need to be pushed, but also follow the safety protocol! I could not recommend them enough, especially if you plan to do the beautiful Lemosho route as I did, you will only be treated with the utmost professionalism! You will leave with lifelong friends and memories from African Love Birds and I can truthfully say that!

Asante Sana to all the guides, porters, and cooks that helped me achieve my goal of reaching the summit!

Because of you my dream came true ! Amazing Team Amazing People

I cant thank enough those people..
I was travelling alone but we were contacting with head Guide Luis and he was answering and helping me about all my questions. They picked me up from airport with warm smile very good driver and brought me to my hotel. (I love the hotel as well)then we met with Luis and Gilbert. Had briefing and Luis checked all my gears very carefully and he helped me rented to all gears which ı havent got. (Very good price and perfect quality)
After we were on the way to the mountain.. Luis has a big team and ı appreciate all of them they were amazing people so kind..
they even cooked for me what i asked ehen i had a stomachache..
Luis and Gilbert was checking every day my health (oxygen percentage-heart rate- did i sleep good , how am i feeling) and informed about next day (route-how to dress..etc)
they were carrying all heavy stuff during the day just for us from one camp to another and before we reached to the next camp our tent /food /tea already ready was waiting for us..
I was speechless!!
Always was respectful.
Luis and Gilbert helped me so much when ı was pushing for summit. I was about to give up but they motivated me every single time.

Thank you African Love Birds Adventure.

Thank you for to make me feel safe like home at the mountain!

Thank you for putting my health always first priority.

Without you i cannot make it to the top.
You guys are amazing and because of you my dream came true ❤️

Climbing Kilimanjaro 6 Day Machame Route

I climbed Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route with Aloyce and his crew at African Love Birds Adventure. The service was professional and friendly and the price was very reasonable for a solo climber compared to other quotes I received for similar service packages. Since it was the rainy season, the downside was that the weather was subpar most days, however we encountered very few other climbers along the way, making for a quiet, peaceful journey. The hotel I stayed at before and after the climb was clean and had all the basic amenities. The cook and porters were very helpful and made sure I had everything I needed at the campsites. I would highly recommend booking with African Love Birds Adventure if you are looking for a challenging adventure that supports a locally owned and operated tourism business.

7 day Lemosho route

The team was really great and I had a lot of fun!
The food was good and the guide was very knowledgeable about the mountain and the nature around it. Since I was alone in the group we were able to adjust the walking speed to a lot higher than that of other groups when we weren't ascending too quickly, which was very nice, I'm not a big fan of walking slowly.

The best guides in Tanzania!

We did the 5 day Marangu route up Kilimanjaro. Everything about this trip was excellent. Our guides Aloyce and Gilbert were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. All the porters on the trip did a wonderful job. Our chef made amazing food for us every day. All the accommodation on and off the mountain exceeded expectation as well. I cannot say enough good things about the service we received. I can’t wait for my next trip back to Tanzania and I will definitely be booking with Aloyce again.
