Worst customer service I have ever had to deal with
Extremely disappointed in the service provided. We arrived in a snowstorm and had an extremely lengthy wait for luggage to arrive. I did email while waiting for luggage to advise that we were still waiting for our bags to arrive. I never had any acknowledgement and then after waiting over 2 hours we finally got through to arrival hall to find that our gray line private transfer driver had left the airport without any contact at all. This left us to try and find another way into Reykjavík after a delayed flight and an extremely long wait for our bags. After a total of 27 emails with gray line refusing to discuss over the telephone and an accusation that we simply hadn’t turned up I gave up the fight for a full refund. It simply wasn’t worth anymore of my time. The customer service has been appalling, had absolutely no sympathy and blamed me for the luggage delay! I wouldn’t recommend anyone spend the extortionate amount of money they charge for a private transfer that doesn’t happen if they don’t want it to.

Thank you Traveler624136 for your feeback - it is regrettable that your flight was delayed and your luggage further delayed. Regrettably after the announcement of the airline that "all bags on belt" announcement came on our driver waited 90 minutes, 30 minute more than he needed to wait. Regrettably we did not receive a phonecall from you in order to have the driver wait a little longer. I do hope that reaching you half way for the refund of your arrival transfer was satisfactory and well received

Very Expensive Very Late Taxi

We paid £40 each (Thats £160 for 4 of us) for Taxi from the Airport to City Centre hotel, its about 45 minutes. Taxi was not there and it took 2 or 3 phone calls then a very nice Taxi driver appeared.
We came back on the Flybus including Hotel pick up which took longer but it was OK and cost £22 each.
In Iceland EVERYTHING is expensive (wine £35 a bottle for house wine , beer £8 a pint) but the service everywhere is great and everyone is really friendly and helpful and they all speak English.
My advice book the bus.

Excellent service

On our arrival in Reyjkavic the staff at the airport were exceptional, particularly one young attendant who assisted my husband in his wheel chair all the way to the baggage area.
The airport were exceptional also, as when we arrived steps were bought to the plane and I thought to myself 'how will he get out but they brought a motorised platform for him to be wheeled on to and then drove us into near the airport doors where this young man took over.
Well done airport and staff. Your efforts are so much appreciated.

Upon our return, hopefully we will receive the same courtesy.

Reliable, easy and on time
I choose to book the private airport pickup with Greyline primarily because their price was the best and I felt that since they are know through the world should be reliable. The online booking process was easy but best of all was when we exited baggage claim and our driver was there waiting for us. Yay!! Thank you very much.

Transfer from Keflavik International airport to hotel.

We read about Gray Line on Keflavik airport website. Buy a return ticket at the Gray Line desk in Arrivals. Transfer is by coach to BSI bus terminal in Reykjavik. Staff are very courteous and efficient. Then transfer to your hotel is by minibus. It is a great service. We recommend Gray Line.

Failure to pick up for return journey

Have used service before without issue.As instructed by Grayline at the airport in iceland we asked our hotel reception to phone and arrange return pickup which they did . We were instructed to be available from 3.30 am for a pick up at 4.00 am. By 4.30 the hotel phoned grayline who denied all knowledge of the booking , flight was at 7.00 am. Got taxi to airport which is a fixed fare of 16000KR about £123.00 pounds. Nightmare. at the airport the guy at the desk didnt really give a toss. Emailed the company and now they are saying the return journey should have been booked electronically and the only way they would consider a refund for the taxi cost would be to produce the e confirmation. Changing the rules to cover their backs more likely. The Hilton hotel would have known this if this was standard procedure.wont use again be aware

It is truly regrettable that you missed the very important note on your voucher that indicates that pickup is 30 minutes prior to the departure selected when booking – the departure is from our main terminal Holtagardar and the pickup was 30 minutes earlier from hotels and allocated bus stops and you selected tour bus #6 Culture House. Your booking is made online and an e-mail should have been sent to you with the details of the booking. I am attaching your voucher for you to look at and compare to the one you received by e-mail. If the information is not the same we certainly need to know. It is in our interest to offer the best available service at all times and your feedback is important to us.

Disappointing and rude

Whilst I understand arriving early is our problem, i feel the rudeness of staff on the desk when asked if we could get our transfer any earlier was uncalled for. There was no attempt to try and help us just a simple 'No and you cant cancel it'. We decided to get a taxi instead of waiting. The following day we again wanted to leave a little earlier and although accommodating, still as if we were being a nuisance. They managed to confirm an earlier transfer only to forget to tell the driver so we didnt get picked up, then huffed when they had to arrange a taxi for us instead. I didn't speak to a single staff member who had manners and could be bothered to deal with a quite simple request. We specifically book further activites/transfers with rivals as a result of this.

It is regrettable that you didn´t contact us ahead of time to rearrange your transfer timing as we do make sure that our drivers will arrive at a prearranged time and each has his own assignment. Our sincere apologies if you found our staff not reacting to your request with patience and I can assure you that we try and accommodate all request if possible. All changes and amendments have to be carefully carried out. I do hope that your visit to Iceland was otherwise pleasant
