This was a great tour to get a glimpse of Dunedin in just a few hours. Lunch was a little hurried as we were late to arrive at the centre and therefore not enough time to order hot food. The highlight were the albatross.

Most of our tours don't have enough time for a big lunch stop, there's only time to grab something small as a snack from a local cafe or bakery.

ASTA was amazing. Not only did she show us all the beautiful sights but she went above and beyond to be sure we got to see everything possible, including the spoon bills.

Asta was a wonderful guide, with a wealth of knowledge, she looked after us and provided great info as we experienced Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula. Asta went out of her way to ensure we had great photo opportunities (although the day was a little grey) and history info. We had also opted in for the Wildlife tour with Monarch Wildlife Cruises and Tours and had a great cruise discovering the local wildlife. Including several Albatross, Fur Seals, Penguins, Shags, Petrels just to name a few. A great day out and as we had a small group very personalised.

Fantail tours Guide Asta , met us off the Sea Princess at Port Chalmers and delivered us bak to the ship after the tour in good time. Asta was a very helpful, knowledgeable caring lady. She treated us and the other couple on the tour with us like family. She gave an excellent commentary on everything we saw. We had a very memorable time together. The Mercedes Minibus was very clean and comfortable. We saw magnificent scenery along the high road out along the peninsula and different views back to Dunedin along the shore lower road.This tour was a highlight of our NZ cruise Holiday . We saw three nesting albatross at the Centre and learned a lot about these remarkable birds.
Well Done Asta Tours. We will use you again if we are able to make another visit to Dunedin.

I had a brilliant tour today. Asta was prompt, friendly and incredibly helpful. She showed me the beautiful botanical gardens, gave an informative tour of Dunedin city and took the gorgeous high road to the Otago Peninsula. She made extra stops, and made time for me to take extra photos of the scenery and pointed out other interesting sights and facts on the tour. Thanks again for a wonderful day

I booked a tour with this company through Viator and Fantail not only didn't deliver what they advertised the tour guide was one of the worst I have ever had in my 50 years of traveling. When I complained to Viator, Fantail came back and said they "the tour was delivered" - sure they drove us around but the guide didn't give us any history on the city or what we were seeing - he mostly drove us around in silence until we would drive by a church and he would say "this is our Catholic church". When a company doesn't stand by what they advertise that is the time to vote with your dollars and not book with them.

We had a superb tour to the Royal Albatross Centre on the Otago Peninsula. Fantail Tours made special arrangements to meet our schedules, enabeling us to see the peninsula and visit the albatrosses. We were lucky to see these magnificent birds in the air from a viewing shelter, and we had a very enthusiastic local guide to tell us about the birds life.

This was a fantastic tour led by Asta. She is very knowledgeable about Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula. We visited the Yellow-eyed Penguin sanctuary and saw Maggie, nesting on her egg. The guide there gave us a great tour of the breeding grounds and penguin habitat. We drove through the beautiful countryside. This is such a picturesque setting. Asta told us about the Scottish beginnings of this harbor and filled us full its history. We took the scenic coastal road to the wildlife center and the hilly road back for two completely different view. We were able to take photos of the many beautiful buildings in Dunedin. Overall, we were exceptionally pleased with this tour!
