My husband and our friend went to the lobby on October 31 at the Riu Negril to book a trip for 2 couples to visit the town of Negril. They requested a trip to the pharmacy, a trip to a cigar shop and a tour of the countryside. The trip was booked for November 1 at 2:15 p.m.
The customer service representative booked them on the One Love Bus Tour.
We had no information about the One Love Bus Tour and trusted the Riu’s customer service representative to provide what we asked for. Prior to boarding the bus the driver our husband asked if we would stop at a pharmacy and he said we would go to a supermarket that was just as good and that it sold bandages.
Four of us board the non air conditioned bus at the Riu Negril. We stopped at the Hedonism to pick up one couple. We then stopped at the Coco Palms and picked up 18 people. We picked up another couple from the Netherlands. They did not have a seat and were required to sit up front with the driver on a hard surface beside the driver that the driver laid a cloth hat on.
Off we go on the tour. First stop a bar, second stop another bar to which I asked the driver if that’s all we were going to do was stop at bars. We were stuck on this hot cramped bus with 25 people. The driver drove the bus with the door wide open. We stopped at 6-7 bars to which the driver got out and had drinks. The driver said nothing the entire tour. He didn’t tell us where we were. Basically just told us to get off at each bar and told us the amount of time we had at each bar. Why would anyone at an all inclusive resort with free drinks go on a pub crawl. Dumbest cash grab ever!
Most of the patrons on the bus knew the bus tour was a pub crawl. We did not. We only found out when I asked one of the other patrons. The group of 18 drank and smoked weed and got totally wasted on the tour. It was not what we wished to experience.
Most of the bars low end and were not bars that I would normally frequent. The last bar we went to was the nicest however a rum punch was $12.00
On the second last stop we stopped at another bar and when ready to leave his son boarded the bus with the rest of us. He did not have a seat and stood in the doorway. Every so often he put his head out the side of the bus. We were worried for his safety.
Finally we get back to our hotel and before paying the driver $80 for the 4 of us I explained that we were misled about the tour. I also said that it was unsafe that his son was on the bus hanging out the door. I told him I would share the video of the event. He then proceeded to call me a racist. Told me to Eff off and continued to yell racist after me.
Being misled about a tour and the safety of a child are not racism. It was his son hanging out the door and we cared more about his safety than he did. When I shared this story to the staff at the Riu they said that this behaviour was common in Jamaica. Where we come from there are laws against this type of behaviour. In our country we are required to keep our children safe and not to knowingly put them in harms way. Luckily the son was not hurt. He jumped off the bus while it was still moving.
The customer service representative booked them on the One Love Bus Tour.

This has been our 6th Pub Crowl with Mr Lenbert Williams. We were picked up at 2:30 on Oct 18th at Couples Negril with several couples who became friends during the trip. The bus had already picked up some others from Couples Sweptaway, Azul and we proceeded to Riu Tropical for others. By time the last group was picked up, Lenbert had to call for another bus since we were overflowing. We stopped at the first bar Pirates Cove at which the 2nd bus joined us for the overflow crowd. My wife and I had visited Pirates Cave on a previous tour but Lenbert mixes it up, you may have been to one of the 5-7 bars you stop at previously or it maybe entirely new. This time we visited several which we had never been to before -one was Vinnies, Beka's and Blue Mahoe. During the trip we stopped at Xtabi, which was undergoing a bar renovation but had temporary one for us to use. Some of the compatriots ended up cliff jumping into the sea. The waves were rather strong but inlet was somewhat protected so not real dangerous. Xtabi has a pirate cave which you can descend into from patio. One of the divers went down with a fully clothed dry companion. A wave came in an drenched both of them.
One stop was in Shanty Town, the poor of the poorest, where Terra from Illinois gave out supplies - shoes, food, clothes, crayons, notebooks etc. It was really heart warming with her generosity and well as seeing the need. You never know how good you have especially us tourist staying at an all inclusive resort like Couples.
The tour usually starts with a pickup at your hotel, for Couples Negril it was 2:30 and last until 6:30 pm. Lenbert tries to stop at bar so you can get a sunset photo, if weather cooperates. If you buy a drink at Bar 1 you can take with you on bus to Bar 2 and not have to buy another drink unless you want to. Drinks range from $5 for Red Strip to $10 for some mixed drinks (Crown & Diet). Not all the bars will have Crown etc
Booking can be done throught Trip Advisor or contacting Lenbert Williams via Face Book One Love Pub Crawl. Normally the Crawl is Mon-Wed-Friday. If you book via Face Book, its $20/person which you pay to Lenbert direct
NOTE: Some of the bars or Jamaicans which you may meet do sell Marijuana. If you want it fine but Lenbert does not allow any smoking on his buses. Most of us don't care if you partake but don't blow it in our face.
You see the Real Jamaica when you take this trip and will see Jamaicans enjoying the bars with you. Some of them have good food which you may want to return to for enjoyments.

It was great. The only thing was someone brought a BUNCH of stuff for the locals. Which is amazing but they should have coordinated that for a different time because it ate up an hour of our trip. We didn’t get to go to all the places that were scheduled.

This was an enjoyable bar crawl that featured several stops at bars located primarily in the west end of Negril. Our driver/guide Lenbert was knowledgeable, courteous and a skilled driver. This tour is a great way to meet fellow tourists in the Negril area and to socialize with locals in charming local bars. I particularly enjoyed the bars located along the picturesque cliffs inthe west end of Negril. The sunset from one of our stops was spectacular. I highly recommend this tour as a wonderful means to interact with other tourists and locals.

This is such an amazing experience and so unique. We loved every second. Me my hubby and our friends did this. Loved been in the heart of negril. All the staff in the bars were really friendly and the driver was lovely 😊

Absolute worse excursion I have been on!!! The bus was completed packed and non-air conditioned. The driver never said anything about where we were going or how many stops-nothing. He did not speak at all unless you asked him a question. A couple of the stops were really sketchy and unsafe. No running water and nasty and stinking at one stop, right on the cliffs with no kind of guard railing. Several young kids we’re hanging on the back of the bus at one point wanting money. One of the couples left and took a taxi back to their resort. There was no other people at any of the bars except for the people on the bus. All drinks and beer were of course overpriced. The last stop charged a 20 percent gratuity that we were not aware of until after ordering. I do not understand all the good reviews. Couldn’t wait to return to my resort!!!

Went mid August by myself. There was about 10 people on the coach and I made friends with some other ladies so that was nice. The bus is pretty much like a taxi drop off/pick up. We stopped at about 5 bars, Connie's gem of a hut bar was amazing and the best. She was very social and funny, very unique!
My only negatives was some of the local kids jumped on the bus ride with us and was allowed into some bars. The issue I had with this is that they constantly beg you for money and I felt that if there were drunk or vulnerable people on the crawl that they would have used this as an opportunity to 'pickpocket'. Thankfully we was all on guard. The driver came with (I assume) his son. Was weary of the son as at one point he went into one ladies beach bag and was making remarks about her 'bum' which I didn't respect and called him up on it.
Otherwise I would recommend this trip as a good way to see some local sites and to meet other people.

We did this trip with five friends we met on holiday it was great to get out and about visiting bars we would have never gone to. A useful tip is to bring items for the children e.g sweets crayons, if we do this again we will do so. By the end of the tour we were all great friends xx

The different bars each provided unique styles of the area. The views were breathtaking. We made a bus load of new friends from Germany, Canada, Missouri, Georgia, & North Carolina.
