My husband and I came to Vegas just before the F1, so the strip was pretty hectic. We booked this excursion to explore Vegas a bit further. Had a great time. Perfect for us as we have both never ridden. Was a nice gently trail with plenty to look at. The horses know what they’re doing and are very gentle so we just sat, held the reins loosely and enjoyed! Breakfast after was great, and the transfer to and from the ranch well organised 😊

We adapt to any conditions and appreciate everyone's patience during the construction and deconstruction to pickup and drop off our guests. If you want an amazing professional western riding experience- book this. Picked up on a minibus near our hotel in Vegas Strip. Friendly knowledgeable wranglers. Beautiful scenery. Horses looked well which is always nice to see. Thank you for making our holiday extra special. Especially Leo for putting up with us! Would definitely recommend! Fantastic experience!

This tour had amazing views & amazing horses & very friendly staff , and the cook was amazing , however I feel as though this your is ideal for younger people or elderly who have never been on a horse before due to how extremely slow they require the horses walk the entire tour due to liability purposes they explained. I am not extremely experienced but I’ve traveled a lot and have been on more than a hand full of horseback tours throughout the country and am now expecting a little more than a walk from the horse. I didn’t expect an entire session of running from the horse but just a little more speed allowance periodically.

Good morning,
Thank you for the review and sharing your experience. I appreciate you wanting something a bit more exciting than a trail ride, but due to safety concerns it isn't an option. We get lots of experienced riders that visit us not to run or gallop, but as you said, for the amazing views, amazing horses and friendly staff. The lion portion of our riders are first time or novice. Safety is our number one priority. Per your own admission you are not extremely experienced, and the moment you run a horse and get injured, you aren't going to blame yourself, but the tour operator. We would rather be safe than sorry.
I don't feel a 3-star review is warranted. You stated everything was amazing. The only issue you had was that it was a single-file trail ride.
When you booked the tour it clearly states in the content that it is a single-file trail ride. Due to safety regulations, customers are not permitted to run or gallop the horses on the trail.
So, you booked our tour knowing that it was a walking trail ride, and then ding us with a three-star rating, because it was a walking trail ride. That doesn't really seem fair, or make sense, but OK. Perhaps you didn't read the description of the tour, before you purchased it.
Anyway, I will take it, and be thankful you didn't give us a 1- or 2-star review for providing you with, the exact product you purchased. Which by your own review was amazing! LOL.

From being picked up by our driver denny to arriving at the ranch to being shown by leo and shanel then taken out on the horses what an experience enjoyed every minute shame it had to end i would reccomend this to anyone and everyone bear in mind ive never ridden a horse but had no fear at all under the watchful gaze of leo and shanel everything was explained in detail and they would pass to make sure everthing was fine so polite and friendly a must for anyone wanting a change from the strip

We can’t stop talking about our incredible experience of the horseback trail ride! The setting in the surrounding canyons was absolutely stunning. As two people who haven’t ridden in many years we were a little nervous, but Chanel & Leo helped us to feel totally at ease throughout the entire visit. They were so helpful and knowledgeable telling us all about the land, livestock & wildlife. Our horses were calm, very well-trained & it was evident that they’re all cared for and loved. The ride itself was gentle & felt like a restorative break away from the madness of the Vegas strip! We were very excited to see a Red-Tailed Hawk too! I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone - inexperienced & experienced riders!

What can I say, the most memorable morning we have ever had. Horse riding in the desert was just beautiful. We saw road runners, coyotes and hawks on the trek. Ceasar our guide was amazing, anyone who hasn’t rode before was put at ease before they got on the horses. Breakfast at the ranch after was incredible. Myself ( Lolly) and my husband Jay both agree it was worth coming all the way from England to experience this. Simply one of the best experiences of our lives. Staff were incredible. Thank you so much. A must do on everyone’s list visiting Vegas. You won’t be disappointed with any of it.

5/5. I would rate higher if I could!
I went by myself due to my friend being afraid of horses and had a fantastic time.
Everyone did a great job in a gentle walk around the ranch and a delicious breakfast once we returned.
Dusty the horse was a pleasure to ride and I only wish I had more time to come back and do the evening ride.
I recommend this to anyone looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas, or just looking for a good excursion for the family.
Definitely worth the money and would love to revisit in future!

Booked the morning ride with breakfast whilst we visited Las Vegas. Great communication prior to pick up the day before to get Breakfast choices sorted. Pick up early in the morning was smooth and on time by Denny the driver / cook / tour guide :-) . Great trip out to the ranch with some great information whilst on the road from Denny. Arrived at the ranch to be meeted by Leo ( Brian if we leave a bad review LOL ), Hector & Hooligan the dog , both really nice guys with lots of advice and tips about riding even for the very inexperienced riders (Me) Ride is amazing with breathtaking views of the local area , stunning rock formations rise as you wind through the canyon. then a ride up a dry up river bed and finnaly back to the Ranch for a lovely breakfast cooked by Denny, then onto the Lasso lesson which was a great laugh , overall a great morning spent on the ranch , wonderfull people and a must do trip if in Vegas and wanting to see the open country side.

This tour is absolutely amazing and we had such a great time. It is great for all levels of riding ability. My husband who is very nervous of horses enjoyed this ride very much. I loved it even more. The guys who run it are lovely and so friendly. And the horse's are beautiful and very relaxed. We got a very yummy breakfast after our ride from Danny. And Leo got us to have a go a lassoing a fake cow after a ride.

We were greeted by Denny. He gave fun facts on the way to our destination.
Ceasar was very good with giving directions and making you feel comfortable with the horses. We didn't have a lot of interaction with Leo, he was with the front of the group.
Ceasar was informative of the trail we were on and let us know of things we could see. He was pleasant, funny, and helpful.
Denny cooked the food up and it was amazing. A nice change from all of the eating out in Vegas.
When we were done with breakfast Leo and Ceasar helped people try their luck at throwing a lasso. They also helped you up on a bull to get your picture taken.
Ceasar was very good with giving directions and making you feel comfortable with the horses. We didn't have a lot of interaction with Leo, he was with the front of the group.

It was about an hour and a half. Just perfect as any longer and I would have had a sore bottom. It was just the right length of time. Enjoy! It was a lot of fun and actually very relaxing while on the horses.
Please take off any photos from Red Rock Stables/ Old Bonnie Springs Ranch and/or Red Rock Canyon NCA.
Also if you are not part of Las Vegas Tours/Cowboy Trails, you'll need to take off photos of their tours.
