The jewellery making was so fun, they ensured you left with a beautiful piece, were very knowledgeable and helpful!! Such a good experience and it was really cool to leave with something that you made yourself. Yande was an excellent guide, very patient, sweet and accommodating :)

So worth it!! We were picked up in the morning by our super friendly driver Yande, and made our way to the class. On the way there, Yande explained the meaning behind Balinese ceremonies that were going on at this time of year.
The teachers in the silver making class were very helpful and encouraged our creativity in the design process. We were given booklets to look through “example” designs for inspiration, but in my case, I showed one of the teachers a ring design from a website on my phone. The teacher put in a lot of effort to help me create my own version of this ring. The teachers held our hand the whole time, and made sure each of us (myself, Mum) came out with very high quality rings.
After the class, Yande took us to a local restaurant for lunch, and then dropped us back at our hotel, pushing his way through heavy traffic.
I couldn’t recommend this enough!! Very worthwhile!

We had an amazing time, we were picked up by Edy on time and had a fantastic chat on the way to the Jewellery lesson. We stopped at a a silver factory to have a look at how they make jewellery locally and learn a bit more about the local artistry. The lesson was great with a variety of items you could make, and the staff were super helpful in assisting us so we would have a nice finished product. I made a ring and so did my partner, she also had enough leftover to make a pendant for a necklace. We then stopped at the Lumburg Sari coffee plantation and learned more about their process and tried a huge variety of teas and coffee. Overall the tour was amazing with good flexibility in what you could do and was with such lovely people.

What an amazing experience! and so interesting learning the silversmith process from start to finish. Hana was a lovely, hospitable tutor and very patient! Would highly recommend! and would go again 😊

My driver was very nice and drives very safely and took me to my destination as asked. The silver class was interesting and I enjoyed it alot and will definitely go back. The people were lovely and kind.

Couldn’t have created a better excursion. Great communication…professional driver who was a few minutes early but waited patiently when we didn’t realize he was already here…well planned itinerary…and the jewelry making was the cherry on top. I never imagined I would create a piece of jewelry that I would love (I’d even buy it if I saw it in the store.)

Yande picked us up from our hotel at around 9am with the first part of the trip being Sunsri house of jewellery, where we had a very informative tour of their "museum" which showcased many of the metals and stones used to make their beautiful jewellery. We had a leisurely browse through the vast shop and came away with some bargains after a bit of haggling at the till. We also got to see the craftsmen at work, making it seem a lot easier than it actually is!
We could have done a jewellery class at this place, but Yande explained this was the more commercial experience, so the class we went to was in the home of an artisan family.... and we were the only ones there.Hana was very patient with us as we attempted to make a couple of rings, providing water, coffee and some home made cassava chips to nibble on. The finished result was far better than either my wife or I could have expected, two beautiful rings😊...we also came out to find that our friendly guide had created a video of the two of us during our visit, complete with soundtrack, it was a lovely unexpected extra.
Once we had finished, at our request, Yande took us to see local woodwork and paintings; again we got a bargain, haggling the price of a painting down to less than half!
For lunch, we were taken to Semar Kuning restaurant and had a delicious Balinese meal for a third of the price of our hotel (The Royal Purnama), finishing off with a stop at a mini market to buy a few bits.
All in all, we had a wonderful and memorable day made all the better by Yande's knowledge and guidance and his number is staying in my phone for any future visits!

Amazing day out with De Putro at the Jawan silver class! Wonderful driver, very friendly and took lots of photos for me which was great being a solo traveller!
Once we got to Jawan silver class, Hana was a brilliant instructor. She helped me with a tricky design and showed me the whole process. I have a beautiful necklace & ring set now :D
