Beautiful experience inside the caves of Equi, with Francesca as an escort, very good at explaining and accompanying us in this speleo-adventure. Path quite simple but requiring a minimum of athleticism.

Lovely cave tour, valuable for kids as well. Many thanks, in particular to the knowledgable (semi-Dutch J) guide who did a truly inspiring and child-friendly job. We’ll be ambassadors from now on!

The safe climbing allowed good autonomy and to fully enjoy the unique environment of the cave. At the exit we combined the outside experience on the zipline which significantly increased the adrenaline rate of the day.
The two guides, one in the cave and one for the zipline, were professionally impeccable and also very nice.
We'll be back with the grandkids as soon as they're old.

Fantastic scenery, 'helped' by the great work done to make a route that is not very easy, sometimes narrow but very exciting, fully accessible. There is also a lot of history behind it, and the guide did his job very well by illustrating the tour before, during and after. Highly recommended, even for children over 4 years old.

Good morning,
I confess that I waited 20 days before writing this review because otherwise I would have only written bad words.
The week before August we booked a guided afternoon visit to the caves for 3 adults (it was Monday). When we arrived in Equi, unfortunately the weather was terrible, a very strong storm hit just as we arrived. Having left Cerreto Alpi with 30°C and a bright sun, we had not considered the possibility that it might rain in EquiTerme. When we arrived at the visitor center the welcome was good and we were assured that despite the storm, the visit would still take place. He shows us the route to take on foot and we set off under an incessant and heavy rain. I'm just saying that in the uphill paths the water came down as if it were a raging torrent and reached my ankles. At the entrance to the historic center of Equi there is a sign indicating the direction to take to the caves and we follow it until we reach a small square. After nothing.... no indication that could help us understand the road to take to get to the caves, only some arrows drawn on the pavement of the square. Not being familiar with Equi and above all without adequate protection against the rain, we followed them. Misleading directions, given that they made us walk until we reached the pools, far away from the caves. I called the reception center quite annoyed and the girl very kindly gave me all the information necessary to find the correct path and get to the entrance of the caves. You confirm that in fact there is no adequate signage to indicate the way. We didn't even have a dry piece of clothing.
I realize that I arrived at the entrance already quite upset by this unpleasant episode and that it was certainly not the organization's fault that it was pouring at that moment and I didn't have an umbrella. But certainly the failure to indicate the road to follow from the square forward could have been done accurately, given the total lack of indications. If it had been sunny that afternoon it would have just been a walk looking for the entrance. But unfortunately it was raining and the need to get directly to the caves was evident.
I have been working with the public for over 25 years, and the first rule to follow is that if a customer arrives very angry, you don't throw fuel on the fire, but try to calm them down with whatever lies you can think of, otherwise an uproar will break out.
And the uproar broke out, because when we heard about a lack of signaling to get to the caves, the spelunking guide's response was: "I'm the one in charge here, you can say what you want but I don't give a damn! " "Go talk to the Mayor!" "Do you want the telephone number to call? It's written on the billboard outside under the water, but don't go out and get it because otherwise your cell phone will get wet!" "Here we are in Equi, go back to your cities!"
The only sensible thing they said after having argued heavily, I would say almost to the physical limit, was to give us our money back! Obviously without making the visit.
BAD STAFF is an understatement!!!! And I won't go any further.
I repeat, there is no sign, you can also write a sign by hand if it costs too much, but put it up!

Gentile Katia, (visto che ha copiato e incollato la recensione che ha già pubblicato su google, dobbiamo ripetere qui la risposta):
siamo dispiaciuti per le difficoltà che ha incontrato e possiamo capire la vostra reazione.
Da una nostra indagine interna il suo racconto non è proprio aderente all’accaduto:
- Confermiamo che la visita in grotta si può effettuare anche con la pioggia (in grotta non piove, è evidente).
- Avete seguito delle frecce bianche disegnate sul selciato da un’associazione per indicare una corsa campestre, non recavano contrassegni per l’ingresso delle grotte.
- Confermiamo che dalla piazzetta al momento non c’erano indicazioni, in quanto sono state rimosse abusivamente da ignoti, senza che potessimo ripristinarle in tempo. Capiamo che sotto la pioggia e non attrezzati ci si possa confondere. Il percorso è comunque breve e molto intuitivo, infatti i visitatori non hanno trovato difficoltà a percorrere i 100 metri nel borgo per arrivare all’ingresso delle grotte.
- Molto diverso invece quanto accaduto al vostro arrivo al museo/reception delle grotte, dove avete sfoggiato aggressività fisica e offese pesanti verso il nostro personale e anche verso il pubblico presente. Tant’è che avete rischiato lo scontro fisico con il pubblico (non con il nostro personale), esterrefatto dal vostro comportamento violento.
Pertanto ci dispiace per la vostra disavventura che, come ha confermato anche lei, non dipende direttamente dalla nostra organizzazione, e vi invitiamo a tornare a visitare le grotte e fare le numerose esperienze che offriamo come nostri ospiti.
Chiariamo infine, per rispetto al nostro personale ed ai visitatori, che non saranno tollerati una seconda volta comportamenti maleducati e violenti, in conseguenza dei quali normalmente avvisiamo le forze dell’ordine.
