Book a tour with Edgar. The service provided by Edgar was absolutely fantastic, but we could not fault anything. Once we booked with Edgar, all information was sent via WhatsApp. The cost of our tour was €30 euros each.
The tour provided was the blue eye, the local fish market,the port, the mirage,salt bath, and salt lakes and seeing the baby sharks.
Stopped off in a local restaurant, food was great and reasonably priced.
Our tour guide for the day was Zilena, provided all history and culture off the island.
A great big shout out to Zilena, she was fantastic.After the trip ended, Edgar messaged to see if it was all okay.
Just a tip, wear some old clothes, can get a bit dusty, and also wear some Crocs for the sharks, but you can loan some of the guys on the beach for €3 euros.

Booked up with Edgar for the full day private tour. He is was great, sent through all info via WhatsApp and checked in after the tour to ensure we had a good time. We had Elder as the driver and Fabio as the photographer and both were brilliant.
We stopped off for some lunch in Espargos which was lovely. Highly recommend Edgar to anyone looking to get some holiday adventures in whilst in Cape Verde

We contacted Edgar Pires through Facebook before visiting Santa Maria, Cape Verdi and he sent through loads of information - not just relating to the yours he offered, but advice on how to make the best out of your visit.
The tour itself was fantastic - a fantastic day and brilliant value! This really is a great way to see so much of what Sal, Cape Verdi has to offer.
There was never any hard sell from Edgar, we went back and booked more with him. I would highly recommend contacting him before your trip for the best experiences at a great price.
I cannot recommend Edgar enough - he is the best at what he does.

Edgar Pires-Found his name on Cape Verde FB site and so many people were HAPPY with his service. Contacted him and booked a couple of tours. WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. He is very knowledgeable and so easy to deal with. The tour was great. Great introduction to this wonderful country/island. Thank you for a great time.

We were recommended this tour by family
I had contacted the rep Edgar Pires on Facebook prior to my arrival. He sent me loads of information about the island and trips.
He was located at the lighthouse near the scuba caribe water sports outside the Riu Palace Santa Maria. He was there 10 to 1230 mon to sat
We went to see Edgar on second day and he remembered us from our messages which was a nice touch.
We did the full island tour and our guide Paolo was full of local knowledge and answered our questions we had.
The blue eye was fantastic and the lemon sharks was a great experience. The trip ended with. Relax in the salt lake.
The tour was done in the back of a truck which made it more fun than mini bus

Wonderfull tour, booked all our other activities with Edgar, find this man! Amazing person with a lot of knowledge about the island, and clearly loves his job.
When i misread a message leading me to walk 30 minutes the wrong way, edgar offered to pick us up with his car, he even drove is trough santa maria and gave a mini tour.
Thanks Edgar for helping us make our vacation great! You can find him in the mornings at the lighthouse in front of Riu palace

Ik werd mooi op de afgesproken tijd opgehaald door tourleider Grace. Een aardige goedlachse Kaapverdiaan. Hij vertelde eerst waar we allemaal heen gingen. Daarna gingen we on tour over het eiland. Super leuk ook om in de open laadbak van de SUV op bankjes te zitten, zodat je meer ervaart van het eiland. Met deze tour zie je alle belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden. Entreegeld voor Blue Eye, citroenhaaien spotten en in oude zoutmijn zwemmen is € 3-5. Tussen de middag een lunch in een local restaurant. De tour is goed opgebouwd. Je eindigt met zwemmen, zodat je bij aankomst in het hotel lekker onder de douche kan. Van 9-18u was ik on tour, dus echt waar voor je geld.

Had an excellent day with Jairson. Back of a ute, wind in our hair. Visited the Salt mines, harbour, a mirage in the desert, the blue eye,lovely lunch, had lemon sharks swimming round our feet and ended with a float (not a swim) in the salt lake! Don't forget to take money though as you will need to pay for your lunch and tickets to salt lake and blue eye. Shop at the mirage has local fare, but is cash only.

Can't fault this trip, it was everything we hoped for and more. Our tour guide Jason was super informative and went out of his way to make everyone's trip as stress free as possible. So glad we did it as it was one of our best memories of cape verde.
