5/5 we thoroughly enjoyed this tour.
All the guides were informative, easy to follow and friendly. It was nice to do some everyday Maasai activities (interactive). It was great to have the tour as just our family group and then join in at the end with other groups to see the iconic Maasai jump and singing. The duration was perfect.

The Maasai World tour was a great gateway to learn about the Maasai culture and traditions. The tour took 1 hr and was very structured. The tour guide and the guy at entrance were very welcoming and made sure to explain everything about their language (Maa), culture, marriage traditions, costumes, lifestyle, tribal beliefs, and food. They also performed a song and a dance that were very vibrant and fun. By the end of the tour, there is a place to buy souvenirs made by the tribe members. I’d recommend buying an item or two for support to their community.

Very educational 2 hours where you learn a lot about past Maasai practives and how the Maasai culture evolved over the years (sometimes with government pressure). They add some archery practice and Maasai dances to make the experience more fun. The entry price seems to be a bit dynamic and is advertised as USD$20. After the tour you get a chance to buy hand-made Maasai accessories but some bargaining is recommended!

David was an amazing host. He spoke about how the Maasai tribe, their culture, history and lifestyle. He showed us their housing and some of their daily activities. It was an amazing and humbling experience learning about their tribe. Must visit the Maasai world if you visit Zanzibar!

La visite fut riche en découverte de la culture maasaï. Le guide sur place nous a bien expliqué le fonctionnement de son peuple et leur évolution dans la société actuelle! C’était très intéressant et en partie ludique pour les enfants

Our group of 10 travelers from the U.S. thoroughly enjoyed this visit. Though it was a little ominous traveling the final leg of the trip up lonely and bumpy dirt roads in a very rural area, it was worth it. The Maasai welcomed us warmly and taught us much about their culture on a guided tour that included a history lesson, introduction to their unique language, a fire-starting demonstration, dressing us in their tribal attire, a ritual dance performed by the Maasai men, and lessons on how to shoot at a target with their bows. We were there the third week of June and the weather was perfect.
