This tour is one of must do, Mohamed took us to Shabuta spice farm and we saw plenty of plants, it's amazing seeing the spices on the plants and supporting local farmers by buying their fresh spices which are harvested from their farms, and the fruit provided by them taste sweeter than the ones from the supermarkets.
I highly recommend Mohamed with this product.

Beautiful green spice farm.

Mohamed was excellent guide in the farm, he knows all plants and he explained to us from A to Z on how they do spices plantation, the farm is green and beautiful, it's surrounded by a lot of tropical fruit and smells spicy.
The taste of aromatic fruit is sweet and quiet different to my country.
I highly recommend this product with Mohamed.

Wonderful spice farm visit

Our guide was Mo - the owner of the business. It's great to be supporting local small businesses. Mo was very knowledgeable on the journey to the spice farm, providing us with interesting background on Zanzibar itself and spices.

Mo had chosen an independent spice farm which again was a great choice. Our guide and his assistant were amazing. Apart from learning about the spices and fruits - seeing many of the tress/shrubs, smelling and even tasting, we were treated to handmade headdresses and other decorations.

We had a demonstration of coconut tree climbing, followed by a tropical fruit tasting session. All in all a fantastic visit. You can buy local produce, including spices if you wish. There's no pressure and whilst prices are higher than a market, you're supporting the local community - your choice.

Highly recommended and great fun.
