This was a incredible experience. My sister and I had never ridden a Segway before and it was easy to learn and super fun to ride! Huge shoutout to James who was our tour guide, he was awesome, and he made the experience all the better with his banter and knowledge. Charlotte is a beautiful city with great views!! We learned some intriguing facts about Charlotte as well. Highly recommend this tour! Just book it!! Thank you for a wonderful experience, definitely will do it again! Ask for James!!!

Super fun and informative Segway tour with Rod. Learned a lot of interesting Charlotte history, and took in some beautiful sights. Carol was very helpful with the logistic details, and Rod was the perfect Charlotte ambassador - we kept calling him the mayor because he seemed to know everyone we passed. Would highly recommend!

Joshua did a fantastic job on our Segway Tour. He was so knowledgeable about the history of Charlotte and very good at teaching us how to ride a Segway. It was a lot easier to learn than I thought it would be. It really helped us decide what locations to visit during our Charlotte trip. He told us about a lot spots to visit that I hadn't read about. I highly recommend this tour. It was so much fun.

We were first time Segway-ers so a little nervous, but they had us comfortably riding in minutes. We saw parts of Charlotte we had never seen. Rod was informative and fun. I want to do the Christmas Light Tour!

It was me and my adult (not teen) daughter. We had a great time with Rod who was very knowledgeable and knew many of the residents we encountered by name. Instruction was easy and we ended very confident of our segwaying abilities.

We had a terrific time riding in
Charlotte! Rod was our guide. He was friendly, informative & fun. Several interesting stops along the way & tips of great restaurants. I definitely recommend this experience.

Rod and his staff were simply amazing. I was hesitant to do the Segway and he was such an amazing teacher and tour guide and this 59 almost 60 year old loved every minute of this adventure!!!!

Rod is personable and very friendly and knowledgeable of the Charlotte area. He knows a lot of history of Charlotte and seems to enjoy his job. I think because it was just the two of us our tour concluded early. We didn’t have many questions either so maybe that sped things up. I am not sure if we would chose this specific Segway tour again but maybe if back this way we could try a different one you offer.
When traveling with friends and family we always try to include at least one Segway tour.

I booked the historic uptown 1.5 hr Segway tour foe 2 people on Saturday July 23rd at 11.

From their site.....You must be at least 14 years of age to operate the Segways. You must also weigh at least 100 lbs and not more than 260 lbs to operate the Segways.

Can I book a tour the same day I want to go, or do I have to do it in advance

I'm pretty sure that you can do it on the same day BUT if the tour is full you will be out of luck. Doing it ahead of time guarantees you a spot.

Not sure about the age requirements, I would check that with the tour company. I will say though, if someone can ride a bike - keep their balance - they would be able to ride a segway. For the younger ages, if they need training wheels, this is definitely not for them. And at the other end, for a senior that has balance issues when walking, this is not for them. Hope this helps!
