The trolley was the best way to check out the waterfalls, totally beats driving your own car and dealing with parking.
The ride was awesome, we loved being able to hop off at each station and hiking. The drivers were great.

Great way to see all the falls. Good narration & convenient. We would definitely recommend this instead of searching for parking in the limited parking areas.

Very convenient way to see all the falls, much better than figuring out parking. We had a great time & would recommend to any future visitors.

My friend and I went on the Waterfall Hop on Hop off Trolley yesterday! It was great!! Our driver was May. She is really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about everything about the whole area! She told us all to take the trolley eastbound until Horsetail Falls and to get back on heading westbound before disembarking for the falls we wanted to see and explore. This made catching the next trolley heading westbound very predictable. We knew how much time we had to see the falls that we wanted to see. We also knew how long we had to hike before getting back on the trolleyl. We enjoyed lunch at Multnomah Falls Lodge. It was nice to sit on their patio.
The trolley was a fun experience and I would do it again!! There’s really no way to see it all in one visit.
Looking forward to doing it again when we can catch the Waterfall Express which wasn’t available yet. With the Waterfall Express we will be able to catch a bus from Portland to Corbett where the trolley begins. It will also take you back to Portland afterwards. That will make getting to the trolley way easier if you don’t have a car to get around. An additional shout out to David for making our trip to the falls enjoyable. He too was super personable and a wealth of info!

Taking the Waterfall Trolley was the best way to see the falls. Avoid the traffic and the stress of finding a parking spot. Just get on and get off as you please! The trolley will be back in hour.

Easy way to see the waterfalls of the gorge . Park your car and hop on and off . They had suggested itineraries depending on the time you had and if you wished to do some hiking . Only wish the trolleys came sooner than one hour in between each pick up . Fun time

This was a sensational experience. We parked safely at the Corbett location and this is well worth the cost.
We took the first Trolley in the morning and made 9:45 breakfast reservations at Multnomah Falls Lodge. We took our time coming back with a long time at Crown Point
Two things....
(1)That walk between Multnomah and Wahkeena Falls was extremely rocky, narrow, and higher than expected.
(2)There is no relief from the heat at the Crown Point location while waiting for the trolley. I know the wind can be impossible for an umbrella but have sun/heat protection.
We absolutely loved Christine today. We got to have her twice.

The trolley was nice for convenience. We would have been turned away at Multnomah Falls for lack of parking available. We wished for lots more detailed information about the trails.

Excellent morning. May was knowledgeable and delightful. Thank you. Happy I ended up on her tour (given the one I signed up for was canceled). Instead we did a very rich tour of the Columbia River Gorge - which WAS gorgeous. Including a bridge hike at Multnomah Falls. Thank you, May!

We used the Waterfall Trolley to visit Multnomah Falls and the Waterfall Corridor in late July 2023. The Trolley is definitely in our estimation the best way to see the waterfalls!
We left on the 9:00 trolley from Corbett, first hopping off at Bridal Veil Falls. We had plenty of time for a leisurely hike down to the falls and back, and a second trail gave us great views of the Columbia River Gorge. Catching the next trolley (running every hour), we went to Wahkeena Falls, and after viewing the falls, hiked the path to Multnomah Falls, which was the highlight of the day. We splurged and had a delicious Sunday brunch at the Multnomah Lodge (reservations recommended), and then boarded an eastbound trolley to head to Horsetail Falls. Horsetail Falls is close to the highway, so after a short visit we jumped aboard the westbound trolley and headed to Latourell Falls. There we did the figure eight loop, which took around a half hour. After a short wait we were ready to board our last trolley back to Corbett, tired but happy at all the falls we’d seen.
Impressions: the Trolley runs along the Historic Columbia River Highway. Parking at the various waterfall locations is very limited. We felt a little sorry for drivers waiting to find parking spots while we hopped on the trolley and were off to see the next waterfall. The highway is narrow and twisty, so the driver in our family was grateful to be able to relax and see the sights, instead of worrying about driving.
The hiking possibilities are almost endless, but the Waterfall Trolley has recommended itineraries and can advise on how to maximize use of the time that you have available. At each location there were trail maps prominently displayed at kiosks, making it easy to decide which trail to take.
The trolleys are San Francisco cable car style, with open air and enclosed portions. Informative narrations provide background on the history and geography of the Columbia River gorge and the waterfalls. Those with an interest in engineering will enjoy hearing about the construction of the Columbia River Highway.
We highly recommend the Waterfall Trolley — we found it a fun and relaxing way to experience the Waterfall Corridor.
