Brittany wonderfully guided us to an extraordinary set of cave experiences and views! Epic tour! Cave exploration is a unique way to bond with friends and family, and we loved it. The views atop the 400+ staircase was breathtaking.

I was looking forward for this tour since a while ago and I am simply amazed by breathtaking places we visited. My favorite were Ape Caves and the forest with the really old Cedars. Our tour guide Ben was super nice and patient, we were just 2 people in the tour and neither of us spoke English as a first language. But Ben always made sure we understand everything and that was really appreciated.

This tour was truly an amazing experience! Your day will be filled with visits to Ape Cave, Trail of Two Forests, Cedar Woods trail, a stop at Bear Meadows for a nice lunch with a wonderful view, and, of course, Windy Ridge where you have the opportunity to see Spirit Lake and Mounts St Helen, Adams and Rainier!
Our guide was knowledgeable and definitely customer focused.
The trails were loops, so you could walk a short distance and turn around or complete the full loop. At 67 years, I felt extremely comfortable with all of the activities.

My favorite part was the lava tube. It was daunting at first but what a unique experience! Marcus was a great guide. When we couldn’t see the mountain he was totally agreeable to go see waterfalls.

Took the Mt St Helens tour. Marcus showed us the best views the mountain has to offer. Very knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. Hiking was great! Even crawled threw a lava tube. Very good deal for the price you pay. Would highly recommend. Thanks again!

The tour ran even tough there was only the 2 of us. Marcus, our guide, told us all about the history region and the geology. The perfect combination of action and gorgeous views.

Marcus arrived timely for the pickup and gave a good overview of our day as we set off. The stop at Windy Ridge offers a nice walk through the woods along a sturdy boardwalk. Hiking Ape Caves was an adventure and a geologic marvel when you understand how the cave formed. The devastation of the 1980 explosion is still apparent almost 30 years later as you wind along the road to the overlook. The view of the crater and lake are beautiful from the parking lot and the hilltop observation point. Our mile long hike through old forest gave an up close view of the massive Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar and Alaska Spruce trees. What a contrast to the poor soil conditions near the volcano!

Marcus was a wonderful, knowledgable and entertaining guide to Mt St Helens volcano and the aftermath of the 1980 eruption. This was an adventure tour that included visits to Johnson Ridge Observation point, the State Visitors Center, an excursion into Ape Cave as well as walks to the Lava Canyon. Marcus is very knowledgable about geology as well as botany of the area. This is a tour worth taking.

I lived in Portland for 15 years without ever really visiting Mt. St. Helen's and then I moved to NYC. On a trip back to visit in August, I booked this tour with Terran Travels as a way to immerse myself in the incredible beauty of the Pacific Northwest while spending quality time with friends and family on my birthday. FABULOUS DECISION! We crawled through lava tubes, took a 45 minute pitch-dark hike (with headlamps) into a cave, marveled at the terrifying beauty of Mt. St. Helens, hiked through an old-growth forest, chatted amongst ourselves during the stunning drive, and learned so much from our brilliant guides, Marcus and Taryn. Marcus has a PhD in forest ecology and he taught us more about nature than I think I ever learned in school. Taryn had our kids running and leaping through the forest. The tour van was clean and comfortable, food was great, and I can't imagine a better way to spend a birthday. You definitely get what you paid and more - we left early in the morning and came back in the evening and I loved every minute of it.

We had a wonderful day exploring the beautiful landscapes around Mt. St. Helen's with you and your family, Heidi. I was very impressed by all the great questions everyone asked and the upbeat energy through out the adventure packed day.

This tour was everything I had hoped for and more. Marcus is extremely knowledgeable, and we learned so much about Mt St Helens and the surrounding area. He was flexible and accommodating, and made the day so special. We had fun, adventure, and saw parts of the country we'd never seen. I would give it a 10 star rating if I could!
