A bit on the boring side due to the guides lack of knowledge. If you have money to waste then it's better than nothing but I wouldn't do it again.

We recently enjoyed a private tour with Laurence, and it was an exceptional experience. His extensive knowledge and smooth coordination made the day truly memorable. Laurence arranged our tickets in advance for the Salisbury Cathedral climb and provided us with insightful background information before the tour. He then drove us to Stonehenge and wrapped up the day with a visit to Avebury. Everything was perfectly orchestrated, and I couldn’t have asked for a more remarkable day.

We just did a fantastic tour of Stonehenge and then a bit of Salsbury Cathedral and a lovely lunch in New Forest. Laurence picked us up from the Port of Southampton when our cruise ship got in in the morning then took us around all day. He had worked with me in the weeks leading up to our to tour customize the day for my family and the whole experience was fantastic. His knowledge of Stonehenge and the entire surrounding area is incredible and his passion was contagious. Also, he understood the ticketing and shuttle process for Stonehenge so we'll that we got there before the crowds and got to take pictures and listen to his explanations in a very peaceful environment. We also got to see traditional thatched roof cottages and, by chance, were lucky to see one being repaired. Laurence was kind enough to join us for a pub lunch and continue to share his knowledge and travel stories! Highly recommend Laurence and Oldsbury Tours!

What a great, perfectly crafted day we spent with Laurence! He took us precisely where we were interested in going at a very nice, flexible pace. He provided excellent historical and cultural context at every stop and kept us engaged & interested all day. A must-do tour if you're planning on visiting Wiltshire and want to learn more about the history of the landscape beyond just Stonehenge (which is remarkable, no doubt!)

What a wonderful day! Laurence was an exceptional guide to this remarkable landscape. My husband and I wanted to go deeper into the history of Avebury and Stonehenge than we knew we would be able to with standard tours. Laurence was a font of knowledge and so adaptable to our specific interests. He was flexible with pick up and drop of points which allowed us to schedule this day easily within our tight schedule. If you are looking for a deeper understanding of Neolithic and Bronze Age sites of England, then I give Laurence the highest possible recommendation!

My husband and I were very pleased with our private tour to Stonehenge, Avebury, and Salisbury Cathedral. Laurence is a very informative guide and we learned a lot about Stonehenge and the trip to Avebury...they're not just a bunch of rocks! We loved the history and theories about them and enjoyed the entire day.

This tour was the highlight of our time in England. Laurence took us to Avebury, West Kennet Long Barrow, Woodhenge, Durrington Walls and a few more. He was knowledgable and approachable. We asked lots of questions. When our final destination turned out to be closed, he took us to another place of interest, driving farther and longer than originally planned.

Lauence took my wife and I around the Avebury and Stone Henge area. We had a great time and enjoyed Laurence very much. I have been in this area and visited these sites many years ago, but I learned so much more about the history and the connections within the Sillbury Plains. Thank you so much Laurence.

Nearly a million people visit Stone Henge, Avebury and the surrounding sites each year and only a sliver get to experience their true importance and meaning. Laurence's knowledge and ability to weave the history into stories made the stones come alive for us. It was a day we will never forget. It costs a good deal of money and time to travel to these locations, to not get the most out of the experience is a waste. Book a day with Oldbury Tours and you will be very glad you did.

Just went on a wonderful personalized, all-day tour of Stonehenge and Avebury with Oldbury Tours. Laurence is both knowledgeable and entertaining--really made the landscape come alive. He has a very pleasant manner and took excellent care of us--picking us up and dropping us off on time, taking us to a delicious cafe for lunch, checking in with us throughout the tour to see which options we preferred. I highly recommend Oldbury Tours.
