Couldn't have hoped for a better experience. We are very happy that we opted for a private carriage ride. Our guide Kiki was personable and attentive. He even has a degree in history and it was evident in his knowledge of everything we saw or even asked about. He pulled over when extra time was needed to fully describe a landmark's background. The pace was very leisurely but packed with interesting stories of Charleston's history.

This carriage tour was my favorite part of our whole trip to Charleston and I would 100% recommend it to others. My whole family agreed the tour guide was the best we had during our stay. He was a life long Charlestonian with great information to share. I highly recommend doing this tour on the first day of your visit because you'll get lots of idea for things you want to do before you go. Thank you Carolina Polo company!

Kiki was a relaxed and informative driver. Gibs the draft horse was well cared for and enjoyed the attention after the ride. Booked on line with easy check in before the tour.

Best date, Anniversary gift ever, & most of all The BEST CARRIAGE TOUR COMPANY in Charleston SC. I bought this for my husband for our Anniversary, and in the more than 17 years we have been together this was the best gift/time we have ever had. Although we live in Charleston (Mt. Pleasant) my husband and I had never been on a Carriage Tour, much less a private one. Our tour guide John P. was so welcoming and knowledgeable & it was obvious that he Loves what he does for a living. His his buddy Gibbes, the horse was amazing and just as smart, he knew the colors of the stop lights & wasn’t scared or spooked by anything. I was a little hesitant about booking a private tour, but every member of their staff was so kind and ensured it was a special night, even allowing us time to take pictures throughout the tour and after with John and Gibbes. I cannot emphasize it enough, if you want a great, knowledgeable, relaxing, romantic, and fun date to surprise your partner, don’t wait another minute, and don’t choose anyone other than Charleston Polo and Carriage Company!! Booking was also a breeze on-line, and if you have any questions prior to doing so, book first, they go fast. We highly recommend Carolina Polo and Carriage and can’t wait to take another private tour next year!

We enjoyed the ride down Meeting St and a few areas off of it. The driver was excellent: great knowledge of the history of Charleston.

This was the BEST carriage ride ever! John was so knowledgeable about Charleston! He would stop and allow us to take photos and answer all our questions about the sites we were seeing. You can tell he LOVES his job because he is so good at it!

We chose the private tour for privacy and the ability to ask a lot of questions. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience with Greg. I would encourage anyone to take this tour and relax for an hour of education and visual delight. This company cares about the horses.

This was our first trip to Charleston and what better way to learn about the city and its history than from a history teacher. Nick not only shared a wealth of knowledge about Charleston with us, he did it while handling Amigo who wanted to turn an hour ride into a 30 minute ride.
We had made a reservation directly with CPCC (843-577-6767) prior to our arrival, allowing us to avoid any lines to purchase tickets. Our credit card was not charged until we checked in. Katharine was both helpful and a pleasure to work with both on the phone and in person.
We thoroughly enjoyed our carriage ride and highly recommend Carolina Polo and Carriage Company.

Very educational! Love that we had a history teacher for a tour guide!! Beautiful day, beautiful city and wonderful ride through the streets. Pickney did a wonderful job getting us around!

We totally enjoyed our private carriage tour with Eric, our guide, and Chico. Eric was extremely personable and informative as was Michael who we met in the office prior to the tour. This is such a pleasant way to get acclimated to the lovely historic district of Charleston. We would highly recommend scheduling this wonderful experience.
