We booked the afternoon tour but unfortunately had to cancel our trip to Ireland due to illness. However, Michael was extremely understanding and helpful by cancelling and refunding us. We will not fail to book again in the future.

Don't second guess, it's one amazing trip well, well worth it. The amazing Blasket Island with its seals and their cubs basking in the sunshine on the golden sands. The impressive views of the cathedral cliffs and massive arches of Inis Na Bhró, and views of all the islands, the swell of the sea and the shear fun of watching the dolphins swim and jump. And today we saw a beautiful sight just in front of an amazing hump back whale as it danced and breached in the sea before us. It was an amazing day. A guided tour to remember ✨️ super trip Thank you

Excursion très sympathique seul bémol nous avions du mal à communiquer avec les responsables malgré leurs efforts car nous parlions très mal l'anglais. La sortie a tenue toutes ses promesses (dauphin, phoques et aperçu une baleine...

Great boat trip with an exerienced and obliging skipper. Did his best to find the wildlife but they were elusive on that day - not the fault of the crew! Saw dolphine, seal and a variety of seabirds. The only downside was that the binoculars provided were so knocked around that they wern't really of any use and the wildlife expert on board did not seem to be a 'people person'. Overall though, would definitely go again.

Beatiful experience. Very friendly crew with passion for the environment and animals. We saw seals, dolphins, porpoises, and a very rare and special sight: two Northern Bottlenose Whales!

Thank you very much for your 5***** review and kind words about our friendly crew! Yes, that was a very rare sighting indeed and even tops our sighting of 2 killer whales "John Coe" and "Aquarius" a couple of weeks ago. You just never know what is going to pop up next on one of our marine tours! We look forward to welcoming you again sometime in the future on board our whale watching tour boat M.V. "Blasket Princess". All the best until then.

The weather throughout the south of Ireland has been described by the Met Office as ‘unseasonal’ due to heavy rain and strong winds.
I contacted Mick on 9 July and he was not sure if the trip would go ahead today as scheduled.
His judgment was not good!
The trip went ahead and I saw
Male orcas
Several pods of breaching dolphins
Red deer
Puffins
Guillemots
Gannets
The list goes on!!!
Vincent, the driver, missed nothing!
I have taken over thirty trip with Mick and Vincent - this was one of the best. I will be back again in August.
I contacted Mick on 9 July and he was not sure if the trip would go ahead today as scheduled.

Thank you John for your 5* review!! I am glad that you did not take my advice! I am looking forward to seeing the photos of the two male orcas - killer whales - "John Coe" and "Aquarius" that you spotted and photographed. It just goes to show that whale watching is just like fishing and you never know before you go, how things are going to turn out. Glad that you enjoyed a great whale watching boat trip with skipper Vincent and wildlife guide Jonathan. Thank you and see you again in August! Mick

Voyage prévu pour le 10 juillet et payé depuis février à 158 Euros pour 2.
Le 08 juillet je découvre que la sortie est annulee???? Et le 09 au soir, la sortie est à nouveau possible le 10 juillet à la même heure, mais pour 192€. Car bien sûr la réservation initiale n'est pas reconduite...

What a twisted, negative way of thinking!!!
There was a bad weather forecast and we advised visitors in advance that the trip might be cancelled. Then the forecast changed, and we invited people to re-book, either on our own website www.marinetours.ie (recommended) or via Viator. We did this in good faith and so that our visitors would be well informed and not be inconvenienced or miss a boat trip.
Yes, our fares have gone up since February, but it was never our intention to make any extra money out of the change in booking. That is in the mind of the reviewer - alone.
The cheapest and most efficient way to book our tours is on line on our own website www.marinetours.ie where we can have direct contact with our customers - via direct email; phone; SMS / text; WhatsApp - in the event of any unexpected change of schedule or rescheduling due to unsuitable weather and sea conditions. It is a whale watching boat trip on the open North Atlantic and therefore subject to cancellation / rescheduling at short notice. It is not a bus or a train service.! It is an adventure on the open Atlantic and unfortunately, for the reviewer, he missed a great day's whale watching on July 10th, with our first sighting, this year, of the killer-whale pair "John Coe" and "Aquarius" on the Afternoon Tour.
We had 3 different one star reviews this year (none in 2022!) from people who booked via Viator but did not actually take a tour on our boat!!!
We advise any potential customer to book directly on our own website www.marinetours.ie for best customer service; best cancellation / rescheduling service (if necessary) and hopefully a very pleasant day out dolphin and whale watching around the Blaskets and Dingle Bay, West Kerry, Ireland SW

If you have motion sickness do you think it would be a problem with this tour
Yes, you should take an anti sea sickness tablet before your trip and only eat a light plain meal beforehand. Also wearing wrist pressure point bands seems to work for some people.
Hi, can you do this trip with children? One toddler and one baby?

Does this tour allow you to visit Inishvickillane? My husband's family is originally from there ( a long time ago obviously) and we will be coming to Ireland in August and are trying to find a way to see the island. Thanks!

Yes, we did see it, not too close, though, but the itinerary changes to some extent on each trip, depending on the weather.
Hi, we (my friend and I) would like to do this tour on a July weekend (probably 15th July - Sun). We want to travel from Cork by public transport. We have checked the bus Eireann time tables but could not find any bus from Cork to Ventry Pier for the weekend. Could you please let us know how to get to the starting point from Cork and if there is any public transport back to cork? Would really appreciate your help.

Hi Jeff,
in our case, we got a guarantee that we would see the dolphin. Otherwise we would have gotten the money back. I assume that this is also the case in bad weather. But.... they also sail on waves.
